She isn't a 10/10 rocket, as depicted. Not misogynistic.
She isn't attractive and so has even less value as a woman. Misogynistic.

Re: X-Men Legends Ch'od BAF Wave
"I just want her as depicted, in this specific piece of super sexy media, because I care about accuracy to the source material above all else" is not the fool proof, air tight rebuttal people in this hobby think it is when concerning female action figures.
The sooner it's seen for what it is, a shameless smokescreen, the better.

Re: X-Men Legends Ch'od BAF Wave
Sure, but it's not the massively problematic thing some of you want to make it out to be either as is. Also calling something out because it sounds like it MIGHT be on the path to misogyny but isn't is just so - alright, we get it. Some people are sensitive to how a guy describes wanting his action figures to look. I grant it's even a bit on the creepy side. But just firing out a misogyny label for the sake of... I guess that's how people get their kicks these days. Still in this case, pretty harmless. No woman has been demeaned by these comments, however the fella definitely wouldn't get any dates out of it.
I feel like we should take the comments as intended and move right along. He wants sexy Emma, not sneery Emma.

Re: X-Men Legends Ch'od BAF Wave
Given that Emma required so many new parts, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets another figure, perhaps even with another head at some point. I could see it as part of a multipack with Scott sans blast smoke coming off of his eye blaster, Beast (they only way you can get him), Wolverine and maybe even Colossus.

100% there is a bigger Astonishing plan for Emma and Cyclops - Cyclops getting a unique tooling for this costume was a welcome surprise, but you know they aren't done with it.

Re: X-Men Legends Ch'od BAF Wave
Aside from another Cyke, who else could use it? We recently got X-Men costume Deadpool, but would they make him again with these parts so soon? I don't recall the figure exactly selling out when he was released in the Strong Guy wave.

Re: X-Men Legends Ch'od BAF Wave
No one - it would be re-released with Emma, maybe a pinless Wolverine with Astonishing deco, a new Beast (covering the cost of the set as a new tooling), 80th Colossus with new upper body and knee overlays, and... I'm not sure how they'd do Kitty with the existing parts. Can't think of what would work as is, might need to be unique as well.

Hmm, could some of his parts be used for the updated Utopia look? The same one they made in the Puck wave all those years ago.Enforcer wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 7:18 pmNo one - it would be re-released with Emma, maybe a pinless Wolverine with Astonishing deco, a new Beast (covering the cost of the set as a new tooling), 80th Colossus with new upper body and knee overlays, and... There are some ankle and wrist gauntlet things they need to add, plus the piping is very differently configured.
Now... Utopia Cyclops with a unique sculpt would be cool...

Re: X-Men Legends Ch'od BAF Wave
That sounds like a very probable variant, most likely in that theoretical Astonishing multipack. I remember it like it was just yesterday when Toys R Us released their diamond Emma exclusive... it was slightly less awful than the main figure.100ptsofarticulation wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 8:02 pmProbably a diamond form coming.BILLIUM wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 6:29 pmGiven that Emma required so many new parts, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets another figure, perhaps even with another head at some point. Then don't narc on it. ;p
I get where hes coming from. I'm the same way with some characters. I don't think she looks as pretty as shes supposed to be depicted. But it's not a deal breaker. I think Psylocke is also not as good as she should be. Giant sized Storm comes to mind as well. And Kitty is too tall. People were up in arms about the newer Sue Storm head. I think of it the same. Emma's head isn't as bad as Sue's, but it doesn't look as pretty as it should imo.
