I am hoping for a MODOK exclusive. Again, I doubt Hank/Janet get made. I think MODOK would be more likely were we to get a store exclusive for the movie

The release date says August - watch this be the one wave Hasbro delivers on the estimated time. That means they'll probably start hitting in May, but I wonder if Hasbro/retail would want these figures coming out at the same time as GOTGv3 and The Marvels product. That's the entire year's worth of MCU figures due within three months? That's not great.
Not counting the locked-up tight in a warehouse Spider-Verse wave or NWH.

It's a bit frustrating because of all the movie figure lines I mentioned, none (except Thor) are the main Avengers cast. I wish they all had redos. But GOTG, Black Panther, Ant Man, Dr. Strange........I think they nailed those.
Re: Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wave (2023)
This is why ML movie figures interest me the most, even though I am kind of burned out on the movies themselves. The sculpts are generally very good, Hasbro is forced to do something new or not do it at all. I'm down for that. Since you compared them to other movie figures, I'll say some others that I thought were very good are: GOTG vol 2, Black Panther, Love and Thunder. In the case of the last one......I hated the movie quite a bit, but dang are the figures great!PantherCult wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 7:47 pmFirst off, I have to say that I think the movie figures from this wave are the best looking movie figures in Legends yet. They are so good I was really tempted to buy the whole wave and build Cassie just based on quality of sculpt alone.

In the Crossfire render Cassie's laces are not cut in half, as previously disdained:

So there's hope! With one week to go it makes sense to hold back any future Hank/Janet/villain merch for another press cycle a few weeks post-release. Especially since nothing is releasing this month. Except the movie.

Yeah, Marvels, Quantumania, and the next D+ wave are all scheduled for July. I'm lucky in that I budget for the year, so I'll have money ready at the time, but I get not everyone can take such a hit at once.JPC wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 8:02 pmThe release date says August - watch this be the one wave Hasbro delivers on the estimated time. Pre-ordered the movie figures. I'll be happy to have them- the likenesses look great, and having the first of (I assume) many Kangs is exciting- might end up needing an entire shelf just for him. Hope there's more down the road- Janet especially, and whoever Bill Murray is (don't even know if I'll like the character, but it's Billy Murray!) If anyone gets the comic figures and wants to unload their BAF parts, keep a guy in mind, if you will.

The best thing about Crossfire in this wave is another notch in my ongoing Marvel Two-In-One project. The first goal of that project is to get every character that co-starred with the Thing in Marvel Two-In-One. While Crossfire was never a co-star, he was the main villain when Thing teamed up with Moon Knight in issue #52. Getting the main villain of each issue is a secondary objective (when possible/relevant). For instance, Ultron was the main villain when Thing teamed up with Jocasta and Machine Man, so that entire storyline is complete for me.

Oddly enough, I don't have a list. I reference this page when I need a mental refresher.

It's sad though that you'll never be able to get all of them. Beyond unlikely candidates like the Golem, Scarecrow, Skull The Slayer, and Blue Diamond you have legally prohibited ones like Doc Savage and Rom. But it would be reeeeaaaallly cool if we could get all those!

Re: Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wave (2023)
Dag, another wave where I only want 1 figure and the BAF. Now I get to decide if I want to try and buy Cassie in parts from eBay, minus her heads since the only other one I need is Kang, or buy the whole wave minus Scott and do the drudgery of selling everyone else off on eBay. After shipping and fees I'll probably end up with Stature for about 50 bucks if I do the latter, but it will take time and effort to sell and ship 4 Legends. She will probably be 75+ if I just buy her assembled, which is not worth it for me. Dammit!
The last time this happened was the Controller wave, where I only wanted Speedball and the BAF, but once I started building the Controller, I found that I was like, "I guess I'll just keep this US Agent instead of selling him, he's pretty cool. I guess I'll keep this Quake, it's a very nice figure. I don't have enough female villains, so I can keep Madame Hydra. Blue Marvel is an interesting character, and he looks cool so I'll just keep him." The only figure I didn't get that came with a BAF piece was tiara Thor, since I found Controller's head for only 10 bucks on ebay.
If that happens again with this wave, I don't know where the hell I'm gonna put Future Ant-Man and Crossfire, at least Egghead can smush in with my Avengers villains. I DEFINITELY don't need another MCU Hope, but I don't see her being a hot seller on the secondary, either. I guess I may have to go with the 3rd option: just live without an MCU Stature in my collection, and cry myself to sleep every night.

Re: Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wave (2023)
Feels like the new default "minimum" is two extra hands. Like the Chode wave is almost exactly that for every figure. I'm not sure if I can remember the last ML that came with literally no accessories. Some are decently-loaded, like Crossfire and Yelena BW. But absolutely nothing? That's a new low. I mean the BAF comes with an accessory, are they counting that? Lolyojoebro82 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 7:40 pmI am learning to expect little to nothing in terms of accessories for this line, certainly not under $30.vicious7171 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 7:27 pmFuture Ant-Man looks neat but dang Hasbro really cheaping out, nothing new on the body sculpt and not a single accessory. Dan Yun confirmed what we'd deduced about the films release date shifting to February leaving Hasbro not enough time to get the toys out in time. Apparently they had to struggle just to get the preorders ready before the movie is out.
