Looking at her side by side with the retro version, they look like two different women

Given that the same is true of almost any picture drawn by two different artists who have ever drawn her I'll assume you're lauding them for their comic accuracy.

Not lauding, just observing.

I know it's not something that happens often, but ideally I like it when the same characters in different costumes share the same bucks. For example, there were like 6 different Cyclops figures that were all on Bucky Cap bucks, Wolverine has the same buck over and over. For me it helps solidify that it's the same person, just a different outfit.

Rogue has 4 Hasbro offerings, and all of her body types are different. I didn't much care about AoA or the two pack version one way or the other, but Outback could have roped me into buying. It still might. Like I say, it looks good enough.......

Rogue and Cyclops are two characters I don’t mind being on different size bodies across different eras - they both seemed to really get buffed out in the 90s.

the hair aside, I find it more disappointing that they chose to paint the bustier on the Shriek upper torso (and so high that it looks odd) instead of using the Scarlet Witch upper torso with the molded bustier top since the hair isn't exactly going to give much upward movement anyway. Or just developed a new pointed bustier with proper neck articulation since it would have multiple re-uses (they do still have to make an Outback Psylocke,,). It appears they did that for the Sersi 2pack with a new rounded bustier (but then used the gangly Kate Bishop legs again).

I'm pleasantly surprised by the 3 packs even though I really have no use for those costumes & it was so short-lived. I really like the Storm headsulpt. As overused as the power swirls (& magic rings) are at least the pink-to-purple hombre on Jubilee's gives it more pow

I have an extra Enchantress that I will be switching out the upper torso on that Rogue for immediately.

I do really wish they would have styled the hair like the trading card above or Marc Silvestri-style.

That's the biggest issue for me. Painted on details like that are just low effort IMO. And like everyone mentioned, the Scarlet Witch/Enchantress torso would have been a no-brainer.

Assuming they are phasing out the Scarlet Witch mold with their all new range of female pinless ones (the only figure that has bore the sculpted bust from the Scarlet Witch mold in the past 5 years, are direct Scarlet Witch repaints) due to the newer ones having more stability. And knowing that if they have to use the Scarlet Witch upper torso it will mean a limited ball joint with no hinge, they will have to use the lower torso and in turn use the stiffer hip joints with a reduced range of motion from that sculpt. AND they won't be able to just plop the upper torso on to a new torso, as it was not sculpted to accomodate that and will look clunky.

What you're really asking for, is a newer sculpted upper torso with a bodice sculpt?

I feel like given that it is Rogue & it's a popular look completing a team, they could have at least done something with the upper torso (again, taking hair out of the equation) so it didn't look so phoned in & hiked up. Granted, it could have been worse since the package rendered shot is using the uni-boob sculpt... with a bustier painted on.

They altered the BAF Jubilee head to accommodate the larger ball joint of the Caliban/VHS Jubilee neck, altered the female teen legs to be pinless & include cutouts for the straps on the 3pack Jubilee (which isn't likely to see much re-use) & Sersi is getting a new bustier upper torso (even though they skimped on the legs by re-using the bad ones). I really don't know anything of the business & production side of things, admittedly -- I just feel like they could have done something to make the release not so lackluste. I mean this is Rogue, not Katy from Shang-Chi or Druig from Eternals -- show some respect lol

I don't think that's what was being expected or asked, they were asking for a sculpt tied to inferior articulation. Now we know what to ask for. A new raised sculpt on the current female torso.

I am admittedly not someone who was dying for this Rogue to get made, but I think the figure looks great for what it’s representing. I’ll never say no to bigger hair (shout out to white Elektra having the best Legends head of all time) and the lack of dedicated sculpting for the thigh highs plagues many a Legends figure, but the figure will fit solidly with the others from that era.

I get why they do it, but I'm skipping this figure for that reason. I'm pretty indifferent to my current go-to Rogue figure, the one from the Pyro/Rogue two-pack. Given the choice of upgrading to a costume I like slightly more without sculpted details or saving the $25, I'm saving the money.

If this were the Uncanny Avengers look or a different green/white costume with a hood, I'd have no choice. I don't feel that much better about this costume, though, so it cost them a purchase in this case.

Both of whom received completely new sculpts WITH robes on top and feature fantastic likenesses. Both are quite good (though ironically these are two characters I have leaning because they will NOT stay standing) - and Rogue deserved even half as much attention.

RC, I think you know what we all mean. If the SW top can't just be swapped on to this body, then yes, a new part should have been sculpted. It should be three new parts so her dang boots were done correctly, but the top would have been enough. And it's not too much to expect Hasbro to do.

Direct it to Hasbro. I'm just stating that I don't wanna fall back on outdated molds for the sake of afew raised lines. I never personally expected there to be any raised lines on this costume, and honestly, Hasbro have the benefit that there's a great deal of depictions that don't distinguish any raised features, just color blocking. She looks like a good figure and a good representation of the character at that time. I have more issue her hair is not in a more mohawk style.

And I will!

I'll throw in some of that salt you've left behind you too, for good measure!
