Re: One A Day - Day 104: Zzzax
Okay... now we're back in business. Absolutely and unequivocally YES to Zzzax. It's frankly a little hard for me to believe he hasn't already been done as a BAF somewhere along the line. He's really great looking. I loved the Zzzax we got in the 5" Toy Biz Hulk line - but Legends could one up that by going with a translucent plastic base and painting some details. We tend to be pretty lacking in Hulk villains in general - partly because many of them are oversized and partly because Hulk will never get his own media push while Universal holds film rights. Maybe Zzzax can show up in the She-Hulk show or something and Hasbro can use that to push them to make a figure. But I never imagined we'd have Xemnu before Zzzax.

One A Day - Day 104: Zzzax
Uh, yezzzir!

Dedicated mold.
White body, hint of yellow maybe
Yellow shading here and there.
Electric bits sculpted on & painted.
Personally, I hardly ever think translucency is necessary. Just don’t think they’re that good at it + I hate seeing the inner worx.

Zzzax!!!! He was in one of the earliest comics I owned, and I totally loved him. Gotta do him Justice with a BAF.

If/when they do make him, I hope that it's better than the old 5 inch ToyBiz cheesy poof version.

I'm generally not big on translucency, but I'd take it for Zzzax!

Zzzax is interesting, but I can't envision how this would actually look in plastic form?

Zzzax would make an amazing action figure! Definitely need him in Legends.

Re: One A Day - Day 104: Zzzax
ZZZax would need a whole new body with very little to no reuse. Very desired but like others have suggested the execution would be key. Overlaying electricity on a base body doesn't work. The body would need zig zags as part of their basic form.

Re: One A Day - Day 104: Zzzax
Hell yes to Zzzax! I hope they go the translucent route for him. He would make a cool BAF, and it's always great to get more Hulk villains. Maybe they could include an alternate head or something for the old monster known as the Blip? Marvel Monsters are sorely underrepresented in the line.

Re: One A Day - Day 104: Zzzax
The way he was pulled off in Squad makes me think that the somewhat less hairy Sasquatch base could work for him. The head sculpt goes a long way toward identifying the character.

YES. Best pick of the thread! I’m the one dumb schmuck who has been banging the drum for Zzzaxy boy in every Fwoosh Top 10 this last decade, so I’m obviously all in on him.
There was an import figure a while back based in n the monster from the side of the Space Invaders arcade machine - the sculpt on that looked very Zzzax like. I think I’d take him in a clear yellowish plastic with some white highlights either dry brushed or panel lined on.
We need more big Hulk villains in general.

Id actually go full translucent yellow and then do like a neon black light reflective yellow on details and overlayed accessories with maybe a little airbrush whiteRAM wrote:Uh, yezzzir!

I wasn’t thinking about his head either—reckon that would need to be translucent to look right. Main thing is I don’t wanna see what’s going on inside so if they could hide the areas that hold him together, then awesome.
