I'm not sure(could be wrong) but I thought it was never confirmed that shatterstar was their son.
I only remember the panel with them suggesting his name for their child.

Re: 2022 X-Men Bonebreaker BAF Wave
X-Factor #259 confirmed it, in a very weird (& stupid) way.
Regarding Havok & trying to give him his missing collar -- I've seen the old Toybiz 2pack Jigsaw recommended, but are there any other figures that have those types of removable collars? Jigsaw was running a little expensive last time I looked since I didn't see any available separate/loose

Here are those two pages from X-Fator #259. The second page says Longshot was a clone of Shatterstar whose DNA was genetically modified to make "improvements," so he's Longshot's "father" somewhat like Logan is X-23's father in that both are the source DNA for their modified clones.

Re: 2022 X-Men Bonebreaker BAF Wave
and this is the page confirming Dazzler is the mother. So Shatterstar is his own grandfather basically. Such a stupid reveal. I also hate how they've moved Shatterstar from being a strawberry blonde (like his mother) to a redhead. And part of Longshot's genetic improvement was 4 fingers instead of 5 (which doesn't make much sense given he's a weapon/projectile fighter). This became as bad as Psylocke's convoluted body switchEnigmaticClarity wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 1:08 pmHere are those two pages from X-Fator #259. Good lord, that art is boo-boo. They could have at least had a competent artist illustrate such a convoluted story, cripes.

I remember reading it for the first time and struggling to recognize the characters. They look so generic.Nik wrote:Good lord, that art is boo-boo. They could have at least had a competent artist illustrate such a convoluted story, cripes.

FWIW, I really love the new Sabretooth. I do think his teeth would have benefitted from better paint, but I'm really happy with him.

It’s a shame that we can’t get a properly sized Wolverine in Marvel Legends. They’re shorter than other figures, but still seem too tall. IMO anyway.

Look how short Logan is!TheSameIdiot wrote:I've read very little Outback X-Men, but I think they're the single best-looking group of X-Men. I'm not sure what it is. The colors, maybe? To me, the '70s and '80s X-Men teams scream "comic book" more than any other group. Basically from Giant-Size right up to the second Jim Lee took over. Sorry, '90s fans.

He really does. After seeing that pic I realized that exaggerated expression looks ten times better in an action pose than just standing there, and that's fine by me.

The fingerless gloves have really grown on me. I never hated them but was aware they weren’t strictly accurate. They make a lot of sense though, and help highlight his claws.

Re: 2022 X-Men Bonebreaker BAF Wave
It's convoluted as all hell, but again, I almost feel like David did this intentionally. Generally it's not his style, he typically writes more straight-forward. It's also all his, meaning he wasn't trying to tie in to some big, editorial controlled crossover. He was on his way out the door as writer, this being his second or third to last issue on the run, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was a nod to convoluted X-Men plots. But who knows, I could be wrong.tetragene wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 1:57 pmI feel like Peter David was stoned & saw a re-run of Futurama where Fry became his own grandfather & was like "Eureka!"EnigmaticClarity wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 1:53 pmMy brain just exploded trying to figure out which one of them is more inbred.![]()
