Sounds like he needs to be placed on your wife's pillow several nights every week as a bedtime companion then.

If the Deluxe format is going to be used for figures that otherwise would be BAFs I think $50 is a good price. The only other way we would have gotten this figure 3 years ago would have been to purchase an entire 5-7 figure wave at $20 a pop - with current MLs retailing at $22.99 (and not all of them even being BAF waves) I'm ok with $50 for a newly sculpted big fig.

Nice. I will admit that had past me known that this MODOK would be widely available for $30 AND that Hasbro would extort me into paying more than twice that for another MODOK (even if he does have a new hairdo) just to get my Captain #$*%! figure, I definitely would have not paid full retail on pre-order.

If you told me back in 2006 that I’d be ok paying $50 for a MODOK when I’d just bought ML15 for the same price I’d have said you were crazy, but now it seems like a steal to get the larger deluxe when a wave will set me back $140.

Then again, I bought my first Hasbro one at 33 and I grabbed an extra at GameStop the other day (to put me over $75 on a purchase) so it only ended up being $20. Plus that pushed me into new $5 coupon range so that 33’s looking mighty steep now.

I’m hoping the deluxe format keeps working out since Riders seemed like a retail bust and there’s plenty of figures I’d want larger than the current BAF format. If They got a nice plain 12-15” body (like that oversized Legends line) that they just kept repainting into various giant-mans/goliaths/atlas they couldn’t keep me away at $60.

If we all waited for clearance prices this line would be dead.

I never really paid attention to this figure so to finally open the box and see it kind of blew me away. Didn't realize he was so huge compared to the B.A.F. I wasn't going to buy any more the A.I.M figures since the 2x originals I got almost a decade ago, but Hasbro suckered me with this guy--I'll be getting more. $35 I would say is the most I would've paid knowing what I now do, but I really like it a lot.
