Ramen Toys - M.A.S.K

Wed Jun 29, 2022 1:40 am

I did not see this coming but I am very interested.
This is the finalised / working hand sample prototype from which we will now digitally capture into a 3D modeling software to tidy up certain aspects of the shape and add details - such as dashboard, brake/clutch/gas pedals, seat belt, and under belly details.

Please be mindful of certain images which shows plastic deformation of the hand sample due to the type of material the hand sample is made from and thru handling and “falling on its own weight”, it deformed.

The wings are also sagging slightly, again, due to it being the hand sample and the spring tension on this sample is not ample.

Please await the improvisation hereon-out to see the Red Gullwing materialise into a collectible fit for your display shelves very soon.

I love the look of this and the Shark also. The figures look great too. Their Centurions are excellent toys and I'm psyched about these.

I wasn't aware that any company was trying to re-launch M.A.S.K -neat! Would have hoped for a somewhat bigger company to tackle this, just so we get enough volume to bring down the price. Chances are these are gonna come with serious sticker shock - just based on the complexity of the engineering required.

I believe these are basically glorified knockoffs. They aren’t paying for licenses. They’re stealing the designs and maki by their own figures, etc under different names. Their Centurions are not called Centurions.

I'm really excited for this line after seeing the new pictures of Matt Trakker and the Thunderhawk. The detail is really impressive and there is some good articulation to the figure. I just really hope we get this in hand before the next vehicle goes up for pre-order. I'd hate to buy two overpriced M.A.S.K. toys only to be let down by the final product.

Their Centurions figures were fantastic, but I was not at all into Quicksilver and sold it off. I hope the Thunderhawk comes out as good as the early pics are looking.

FINALLY somebody's smart enough to see the genius of the Construx engineering and is using it to make normal-proportioned action figures without that silly brickplay nonsense interfering. Maybe they'll do a set of just the figures somehow. I'd get them just for the hand-candy.

I doubt I'd be able to afford it, buuuut Ramen's 1:12 Charger has me thinking there's a better format for this license.

A 1:12 Thunderhawk or (gasp) Condor would tempt me in ways the Centurions can't.

Considering these are gonna be priced similarly to the 1:12 charger, I don't think we want them touching 1:12 MASK cars

Funny, im expecting a vintage Condor & Brad Turner in the mail today.
I think im over Ramen Toys, they're stuff is too pricey for me. I will admit , as far as quicksilver, i had some serious buyer's remorse after getting it but, since then Ive grown to really like it...still cant say its worth the 100 or so I paid for it but, im glad I own it.
As far as updates to Mask, i think im still content with the gi joe matt trakker figure.
