At least the White Ranger vest hides that awful ab crunch. Definitely surprised to see the White Tigerzord in place of the Dragonzord Battle Mode, but it does pair nicely with the White Ranger being in the same wave (something Super7 seems to rarely consider).

Why is White Ranger missing the morpher? The others came with it.

Did he have a Morpher? It's not on his belt like the others.

Madame Woe looks great! She and Rita are so far the only ones I'm interested in (and Zedd's throne).

The theme of this wave seems to be WHITE!

yeah he does but since the suit is from a different sentai series they don't match.
still would have been nice for him to have it to match with the others.

Man... the renderings aren't as nice as they were in the past. At least the "glamor" shot.

But it looks like the new portraits of JDF could be an upgrade for the Green Ranger.

This is kind if a bland wave for me. I'll probably just get Tigerzord, but I was hoping for Thundermegazord. Also, going from 5 figures to 3 is rough, especially when they are spaced so far apart.

I was really wanting another palace monster and a fully painted Alpha.

I guess Super7 is having to downsize all of their waves across the board. Even TMNT had to cut a figure this time around.

I was worried about that, but yeah the real surprise is White Tigerzord.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. Especially if they're just going to slather paint on them like last time.

Yeah, Super7 portraits don't have a sculpt issue. They have a paint issue. They render them with dynamic lighting that creates shadows you wouldn't see IRL in this scale.

It looks like they used face printing on the Silverhawks figures so it seems reasonable to expect the same will happen with MMPR.

So I have the Green MMPR in my POL on BBTS, and I just preordered the White Ranger... my question is do the Zords Transform? I am debating ordering the Tigerzord, but I really like it's other mode and wanted that one.

They do not. These are trying to be as suit accurate as possible, which means that transformation is impossible.

Unfortunately they picked the Warrior Mode, as I also prefer the animal mode over the humanoid one here. I think it'd be a more interesting figure as well.

But, weirdly enough, if you have the OG White Tigerzord or probably the Legacy one, it should fit into this collection fine? I'll double check and show you how the Tyrannozord scales in a little bit.

Okay got some general comparison pictures. The big one is

Image

That's the OG 1991 White Tigerzord, and honestly they look pretty decent with eachother. The Legacy White Tigerzord looks to be a little smaller so it would probably fit even better, kind of like

Image
Image
Tyranno and Legacy Dragonzord. Honestly Tyranno doesn't look half bad, size wise, with the OG Megazord(s), it's definitely not out of the question. I'd love to see what he looks like with SOC Megazord but I don't have that.

And for a question no one has ever asked, here's what he looks like with the Hiya Kong and Mystery KO But Not Really But Probably NECA? RPO MechaGodzilla

Image

You also get a clearer look at OG Dragonzord with him and why, while the sizing is okay, the proportions and aesthetics don't work.

They look great together! TBH I may still get this, but since S7 doesn't really sell out on bbts, I will wait until it releases and see if I have the extra for it then, because it is not a top want, like so many other figures.

I finally shipped a pile of loot which had Green Ranger, Goldar, and the Tyrannosaurus Zord in it. Right away, I was not surprised to see "Made in Vietnam" on these sets considering all of the problems I had been hearing. The last turtles wave that came out of that factory was a mess too. One thing this line has going for it is paint. Lots of paint on Goldar and the T-Rex, especially. It's handled reasonably well, but for the price, it's a little muddled. There's some sloppy linework on my T-Rex's left shin and the right eye isn't as neat as the left. The red on the head probably should have been painted too to better match the other reds in terms of finish. The Green Ranger isn't painted all that well either. My left forearm is pretty poorly done and the edges just aren't crisp at the gold bands of the gloves and biceps. It's not terrible, but again, it's 55 bucks and I have a bunch of $35 NECA figures with more, and better applied, paint on my shelf. Goldar is the most consistent and I'm pretty happy with his paint job. The only thing that stands out are the straps on his calves which look rather amateurish.

Given what I've heard, I'm certainly hesitant to mess with Goldar's head and wings. Just fiddling with the wings out of the box, I can see why there's issues as the right wing just was not engineered properly. When I turn the peg the whole disc wants to try to pop out of the slot that was cut for it. Something was off when they machined the thing. The left wing looks much better in that regard. I want to do a wings out Goldar so I'll probably just heat them, pop them in, then never move them again. As for the head, the fit seems a little loose on the default one so I'm optimistic it will come off all right. I'll try to get some hot water into it first just to air on the side of caution as I think I want to use the open mouth head for my display. He and the Green Ranger definitely have that Super7 "cheap" feel. More so the Green Ranger. The T-Rex, almost solely by virtue of its weight, feels better in the hand. Not that it can do much, but I wasn't expecting it to. I do wish they scrapped the silly coin in favor of a breath effect though as that would really add some fun to it.

The Green Ranger articulates like a Super7 figure. It's mediocre, but not awful. I wish he could kick forward better, and I still hate the ab crunch. Definitely the biggest limitation is the inability to actually play the Dragon Dagger, but at least he has two sets of gripping hands so he has the proper hinge. Goldar doesn't move a ton either, but actually a little better than expected. The shoulder pauldrons actually get out of the way enough for him to raise his arms out to the sides, which I was not anticipating. As an action figure, the T-Rex articulates like crap, but that was to be expected of the design. For what it is, it's okay. I wish the arm hinges worked a little better at getting the arms out to the side, but it's fine.

I will say, Goldar and the T-Rex by virtue of their shelf presence come pretty close to feeling like $55 action figures. In a world where Hasbro is jacking up their offerings to around $30, they're fine. The T-Rex even perhaps more than fine (I bet Super7 is kicking itself for not charging more for it). The Green Ranger definitely does not though. I was going to wait for a sale, but got impatient. I do really love the shade of green Super7 settled on and I like the finish. His paint job should be better for the price they're charging though. Hopefully this factory improves if it's going to be responsible for the other waves. I would assume so, since the Rangers all share the same parts, but it could have also been a COVID thing where they just needed a factory to stay on schedule. And given the delays associated with this one and some of the quality concerns, I wouldn't be surprised if Super7 doesn't continue to use it.
