With 90’s nostalgia being so hot right now, I’m really shocked that no one has done a Captain Planet line.

I could selfishly say the same for Freakazoid, but in my mind, Capt Planet was the bigger franchise back then.

My dream line almost happened 15 years ago. Legendary Comic Book Heroes. 2 waves and out. I was extremely disappointed.

I’d love to see someone take another stab at it. 6.5 scale. Comic only. Comic accurate. Preferably American indie publishers. Distinct but unified design and scale. A venture like this would take deep pockets and a long view. It could include Golden Age characters where copyrights have lapsed, or even some pulp characters that are now public domain. Creator or company owned. Preferably superhero stuff, but not required. Valiant, Comics Greatest World, Gold Key, Dynamite, Savage Dragon, Cyber Force, Cerebus, Bone, Elfquest, Scout, American Flagg, Nexus, Grendel, Mage, Nocturnals, Project Super Powers, Grimjack, Hellboy, Astro City, Dreadstar, Breed, Airboy etc, Aztec Ace, Groo, Ms. Tree, Mr. Monster, Badger, Elric, Jon Sable, Saga, Walking Dead, Next Men, Danger Unlimited, Supreme, Glory, and you get the idea.

Niche stuff with a long haul viewpoint. Unified scale and style. Sculpting sets each property apart. I don’t expect Dreadstar and Hellboy to have shared parts.

For its time, LCBH figures were so good and I loved them all and I still consider it one of the great, crushing disappointments of my entire time in this hobby that it was canned after 2 waves and a couple of two-packs. Absolutely criminal.

Pitt was PHENOMENAL. But goddamn was I looking forward to that Frost Giant. And more Dredd stuff. And that second version of Conan with the sweet sword and up-down wrist hinge. Savage Dragon was also a really, really nice figure. So was Wraal. The whole line-up was great. Ugh. I'm getting angry again just thinking about it.

Particularly when the images for wave three looked so promising. With Vanguard, Aphrodite IX, Savage Sword Conan, Mean Machine, and an awesome looking Ice Giant from Conan. The line had so much potential, and I agree TT, the Pitt figure was an great BAF.
