Zach,

Since you have been working with netflix for Castlevania is there any chance you'd make figures from the upcoming resident evil CGI series on Netflix? Would love to see that happening...
Good question! I would ask the president via Ask DST, at diamondselecttoys.com
Thanks, will do it!Image

This may be a dumb question but what do I do with the joint directly under Dolores's breast? I can't get it to move into any direction but also don't want to break it. Which way should it go? Up and down, or sideways? Does she need the hot water treatment?

I don't have her, but it looks like a typical diaphragm joint that moves forward, backward and side to side. I usually check online reviews when I'm unsure of joint movement so I can see it in action before trying to free it. But heat should work. A hair dryer if you have one or hot water.

Some DS figure parts are made of thermoset materials rather than thermoplastic (especially hip/waist/abdomen), so heating up won't make any difference in loosening the joint,i am afraid.

Just warning in case you try that with no effect..

I wish, but I've already seen Zack & Chuck say Castlevania is pretty much certainly done. I love the figures we got & definitely would've bought more. I was really hoping for some Night Creatures!

Dolores - I've had good luck with hot water popping apart the torso from the chest and when I put them back together without any alteration, the movement has been greatly freed up. MS Psylocke and ML Psylocke - which I mix and matched parts on - both got a lot more range after I put them back together.

Thank you and good idea with the video reviews! So simple yet I didn't think of that.

Hm, not sure I would want to take her apart. So far I only have done headswapping.

It's pretty much the same thing as headswapping. Hot water works best for chest joints because it can soften the inside bits, then firmly grasp both chest and torso (usually dry them off or hold them in a paper towel so you get get a good grip and so fingernails don't accidentally scrape) and pull. Then reheat to put back together.

Like anything, this could go wrong, but it's how the figures were put together in the first place.

It would be awesome if we could get a Richter, Maria and a symphony style Alucard from the new Netflix spinoff series.

FINALLY found the Walgreens Crow figure! I've been keeping an eye on the scalper listings on ebay (searching just "Walgreens Crow") and noticed they finally got within 75 miles of my zip code. Hit a couple stores this morning, and jackpot. Glad to let the scalpers work for me for a change. So if you're still hunting this guy, check those ebay listings. The code on the receipt is 69978884155 in case that helps.

Here he is with my old NECA Crow from about 2005. Soooo glad to finally get an upgraded and articulated version of this guy. I got the jacket version a while back, but really wanted this look too. I might give him the larger weathervane from the NECA figure if I can get him to securely hold it. Image

Seeing it next to the Neca one spotlights how inhumanly proportioned and awkward the DST one is...

Hold snit, there’s going to be a fourth season of Westworld.

Should we assume however that DST dropped the license?
