one thing i do like is that the new packaging can be opened much more quietly lol. altho at my condo complex they don't do cardboard recycling so it all goes in the dumpster anyhow, making green packaging a bit pointless from my perspective. at least cardboard degrades more quickly than plastic, i supposedocsilence wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 7:10 amGot notification that I was charged for Mara Jade and Dr. Aphra from Pulse. The first Aphra was so nice I don't know if it can be topped. Had a bad experience today with a different Hasbro line so hoping Mara isn't too poorly made (hearing about the gummy joints is worrisome, wondering if they're having QC trouble across the board).
I swear I think I'm the only one who appreciates the low-hassle / easy recycle packaging. I think maybe it's just that I keep comparing it to how McFarlane and Masterverse package their figures and how I need to surgically cut them out of the plastic restraints they come in, to unwrapping a mummy is a relief by comparison. The plastic-free packaging IS ugly as sin, for sure though.

Re: Star Wars Black 6 inch General Discussion
I really hope they start getting us moreRebels and Clone Wars era figures. There are so many cool designs and characters that they have never released. Super Commandos, Pre Viszla, Gar Saxon, the Jedi kids, Sabine Wren's family, season 2 looks for all the main characters, ect. I know they can only release so many, but I feel like these two properties have received the shaft.

Re: Star Wars Black 6 inch General Discussion
I'd love more Rebels/Clone Wars. Although at this point if we could at least get Agent Kallus in his civilian look before this line ends I'd be happy. I think he's the one I'd be most bummed about never getting.
I don't know how big a difference green packaging makes, but I do find making room in our limited recycling bin easier with the paper packaging. The city is militant about not putting recyclable plastic in the trash. If Hasbro decides to ship a couple of waves around the same time it can take me a month to get rid of the plastic.
I do appreciate the quiet thing. My spouse knows how much unnecessary collectible stuff I buy, but I tend to only have time to open them at night and it's a small house with us on opposite schedules, so CRACKLE CRACK POP CREAK of plastic is super annoying : D Opening up the new packaging sounds like I'm opening an illicit box of cookies.Bashbash99 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 11:09 amone thing i do like is that the new packaging can be opened much more quietly lol. altho at my condo complex they don't do cardboard recycling so it all goes in the dumpster anyhow, making green packaging a bit pointless from my perspective. at least cardboard degrades more quickly than plastic, i suppose

I found some ROTJ 40th figures today. I may have to upgrade my Endor Han. The face on the reissue is no longer shiny and a flatter skin tone. Eyes look better too. I know it's still the digital face print but it is an improvement.

Has the Mon Mothma wave hit the US yet? Feels like it hit forever ago everywhere else, but all I still see every now and then is a Greef from the last wave.
I miss Dorkside because I could easily keep track of who was in what wave using their nicely organized site.

I want to know why the pikes don't look like the image below. That was an awesome look.
I imagine it was so they could just fit humans in costumes instead of use CGI which would have been costlier and take longer... but still.. I want the OG pikes!

My Maras joints are fine for the most part. It's her saber that you can bend into a fricken U and back again without it breaking. It's just her being a complete repack with like 2 new pieces is what is irritating about her. Reused inaccurate weapons, very little paint, and the price is jacked up $3 or $4 more then even the new $25 norm. And the ankles feel too tight. I feel like they're gonna break. Tiny feet. Shes basically Dr. Aphra and Jaina Solo with a couple new parts.docsilence wrote:Got notification that I was charged for Mara Jade and Dr. Aphra from Pulse. I've seen the ROTJ 40th figures at a few stores now, of course Wicket is always the first one gone. However, I did make a stop in a random Gamestop and found a lone Wicket on the pegs. Glad to finally have him, but at almost $30 it was a hard pill to swallow! Oh well.....bring on more Ewoks please!

Even Pulse has the Wave coming in on May 1. So, should be in the states soon. But I don't think it's here yet.
Re: Star Wars Black 6 inch General Discussion
I haven't seen it anywhere yet, and the Wave has yet to ship here in the US from places like Pulse, BBTS, etc. It should be here soon though.JPC wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 1:41 amHas the Mon Mothma wave hit the US yet? Gratefully, the holiday release should be out just after the holidays.
Re: Star Wars Black 6 inch General Discussion
The carbonized Porg will be available a few months after the BAF has been out, but to be honest a rerelease holidayized Porg may coincide with the carbonized as well.Polarboy01 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 9:32 amOnly if I can pay extra for a carbonised versionZoomZoom wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 8:18 amRumor is Hasbro will in fact being doing figureless BAF waves starting with a 1:12 scale build-a-Porg.Polarboy01 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 6:11 amThe next Disney+ show should focus on the Ewok Porg wars. Got shipping notices for Wicket and Mara Jade from Pulse. Of course they ship as I'm about to head overseas for a week and a half, but it'll be nice to have them when I'm back. So it sounds like the next wave with Mon, Luthen, Bix, etc. is out in Europe? I'm heading to London for Star Wars Celebration and would love to be able to pick something up while I'm there.
Re: Star Wars Black 6 inch General Discussion
What about the Gaming Greats Porg, that has a slightly different paint app and different blaster for $5 extra?ZoomZoom wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 12:28 amThe carbonized Porg will be available a few months after the BAF has been out, but to be honest a rerelease holidayized Porg may coincide with the carbonized as well.
