Dang five figures included in the base funding now, nine if every tier gets funded! Could be a big jump start into collecting the new O-Ring line if everything goes good. Both GI Joe and Star Wars teams need to do one more live stream to show case their new base add-ons.

They do, though the Joe team definitely put more effort into their additions than the SW team. The landing page is all different now and "hacked" by Cobra Commander. They also have actual pics of the new additions. It definitely seems to have gotten noticed because I think the campaign has jumped 300 backers in the last couple hours.

I'm very curious to see where it's at come Monday morning.

Now I'm really excited about this offering. I traded away my Mickey Mouse Cobra Commander years ago and it is one of my biggest toy regrets. I know its a reissue, but I'll still be extremely happy to have him again, Also, the more updates they show, the more I like the Skystriker.

No Joe gets access to this Cobra Skystriker! You won’t either if you don’t fork over the cash.

Damn it! They keep making this harder and harder to resist. I think I may have to get this Skystriker.

The ONY thing that bothers me are the stickers. I can't believe all the cool details for the vehicle are from a decal sheet. I understand that's how it was back in the day. But for $300 and this being an adult collector piece, I wish those details were painted on. Still, I think I need this.

Good news is that it's $230, not $300 so you just saved $70 right there!

I was just estimating $300 with shipping and tax. But price be damned, I think I'm getting this thing.

Yeah in Canada with shipping, taxes and the exchange rate the Skystriker works out to about $370 all in. That is a big ask, but I am pretty weak. :D

Although the average price for the new O-ring figures will probably work out to $25(Cdn) each. So if this somehow managed to get to all the tiers that would be 9 figures, all carded, that would be included. If that were to happen, then that would be approximately $225 and making the rest of the package $145. Or at least that is how I would justify it in my head anyway.

I am getting one. This is one of the best crowd funded items I’ve ever seen. If all goals are reached, the value is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't think it's going to hit all the tiers. I really want that Scarlett and Ripcord (and heck, the crewmen), but I think we'll need an extension to come anywhere near the full funding.

The Skystriker continues to gain backers slowly. Currently at 7,555, gonna need 2000+ the final day. It will be interesting to see if the Rancor gets a big jump in the next couple of hours with late- backers/international/online retail.

I don't want the Rancor to fail, but if it does I wonder if the Skystriker will see former Rancor backers move over to the GI Joe campaign.

That was my hope but so far it doesn't seem to have been the case. Hopefully as people are waking up this morning they'll remember to check the Rancor page and see it didn't fund. Hasbro isn't sending out cancellation emails or anything so it's up to the backer to figure it out.

I really hope the GI Joe team does more to promote the Skystriker today than the Star Wars team did. It's all very bizarre. It's almost like Hasbro doesn't want these to succeed unless they're full-on gangbuster hits.

It's almost at 9300 right now. Looks like it should fund, but I have no idea about stretch goals.

If the Skystriker keeps its current momentum going (needs 543 backers as of me posting this) then it should be funded in about an hour or so. If that happens, I hope it builds up steam from people who feel more comfortable about backing a sure thing and we can at least get that first tier.

I would be thrilled to get at least one of the tiers unlocked. Rip Cord would have been my preference but Scarlett is great, too. We're really moving at the moment, so I suppose it's possible!
