FYI - Grunt and the Cobra Officer are starting to pop up in Texas. They were spotted yesterday in both Dallas and Plano.

I've been rewatching RAH, so I got out my anniversary VAMP and Sky Hawk. Decided to try putting the retro Stalker into the VAMP. He doesn't fit. At least behind the wheel. I suppose I'll have to try him in the passenger seat. I didn't realize how much beefier this new figure is versus the anniversary stuff. So this new mold may not work with some vehicles.

Found a motherload of the latest 2 waves of Retro at my Walmart yesterday. Cobra Officer with the black gloves looks much better than the Trooper. And Grunt is excellent, I'm glad I have few more on pre-order to use for other members of the O13 that have lackluster 25th anniversary figures.

AH, I got my first broken joint. Cobra trooper arm broke immediately on posing :(

Any news on upcoming figures or vehicles? Things are getting easier to obtain so I hope it continues for awhile.

I'm thinking that we should hear more at Pulse Con this year. However, it also took Hasbro forever to even acknowledge Grunt and the Officer. I think people were finding them in stores before the announcement ever went office on their FB channel.

Pulse delivered Cobra Trooper and Stalker. Opened the Trooper, and found a pretty loose knee. They're pinless, like some of the new ML, so i don't think I can resolve the looseness. But I also noticed how soft the plastic is all around. The hips can be pulled from the pegs with little effort. They are using the Marvel Universe model. While the sculpts and articulation seemingly have improved, they feel a lot lighter and looser than typical GIJoes, and very much like flimsy Marvel Universe figures. I guess there has to be some give and take. But even though I was a collector and advocate for MU, I don't think I stand behind that product anymore. And these new Joes feel like that product.

Hmm, I have a Universe A.I.M. Scientist that "someone" listed as Marvel legends. I'll have to compare them.

For what its worth it's my only Marvel Universe figure and he is currently in the middle of an Arms Deal with Destro.

I will say this-- the Retro Cobra Troopers (and the Officer) are some of the easiest Joes to pose. Seriously-- they almost refuse to fall over. (Most likely thanks to their gi-normous feet!)

Alexx Shorts does a great job comparing these to the PoC/30th builds:

Also, here as well... these guys are just made to look dynamic... even if they also look a bit Fortnite.

I just love these Cobra troopers so much! I've picked up 5 so far, and probably would grab a few more if I come across them.

Been recently getting a bit more into this line, and bummed that I missed out on Stormshadow and Baroness. Hopefully those will see another release!

Same, I actually left them on the pegs last three trips through WM. Hoping some kid gets to army build too!

I need to keep an eye out though, as I forgot to check if the were troopers or officers. I don't have any officers and my troopers are off somewhere smoking and playing dice with the A.I.M. Scientist
