Yeah, Fei Long is pretty yoked, it's the same with Dhalsim. They all have more of a superhero proportions than martial artists. But I can over look that to get structurally sound posable figures. I do think once posed they will look ok.

They are both looking great, the only slight disappointment being that they really need a stand for all these wild flying poses they are designed to do.

Ryu looks great.
Posed next to the Storm and Figurarts figures, I think I prefer him to both.
Downside is that he looks a wee bit short. I think he should definitely be at least as tall as Fei, probably taller.

Incredible that a $25 toy can compare favorably to those imports. Jada is crushing it.

I am not so silently praying that Jada somehow uses their Capcom connections to do a 6 inch Resident Evil classics line based on the first three games.

The real test will be if they can complete the USFIIT roster and have it be a profitable venture for them. Given how good wave 1 already looks, and how wave 2 seems to be even more ambitious, I have to imagine they're investing a good bit of money into these figures in order to position themselves as competitive player in the market. I really hope it pays off for them
Re: Jada Toys Street Fighter Line!
This has been my long term hope. Right now I don't think they're capable of meeting the demands of such a large license, but if in 3-5 years or so if Street Fighter and Mega Man are hits and they're able to expand their action figure division, I'd love to see them snatch DC up from Todd.

McF is so poor and cheap than I 've been so picky I bought just a couple of figures in 3 years.
Jada would solve my 2 main problems with McF stuff :
- head sculpt (usually boring or awfully off)
- articulations (those hips... those big ball joints)
OK... Just to keep focusing on the main topic, I hope Jada is gonna get the licenses of other iconic fighting games.
At this rate, I think it could be a bit early to invest into another big franchise with a new whole roster like Mortal Kombat, Rival School...
Jada could get into Final Fight releasing 3 top sellers :
-Cody
-Guy
- it should be Haggar, but Poison could sell even more and be displayed along with the other SF figures
Re: Jada Toys Street Fighter Line!
If Jada could finally give us a solid JLA team (or at least, "trinity") in 6 inch I'd be totally ok with 10 figures per year.markhamknight wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 3:02 amAt this price point, Jada >>> Mcfarlane >>> Hasbro... Unfortunately, a lot harder to pump out 100 figures a yr vs 5-10.

Jada Toys Street Fighter Line!
Good lord. Let’s get some figures from them in hand first before we start wishing every brand falls into their hands. Their Universal Monsters are ok. And their Street Fighter seem like they’ll be great. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Re: Jada Toys Street Fighter Line!
Just not much more to talk about until folks get these in hand or we get some new reveals.
As far as I can tell Todd's got a solid hold on DC for the foreseeable future. It's not what I want, but seems to be successful enough.
I'd like to see Jada do Dark Stalkers, but I'm not sure there's enough interest to get the line off the ground. Storm started and didn't get passed Dimitri (the most boring Dark Stalker, imo). Another Capcom property I'd love to see characters from is Breath of Fire (specifically III for me personally).
Non-Capcom property I'd love to seem someone tackle is Pirates of Dark Water.

I'll take 100 Mcfarlane DC figures over 10 better Jada figures, DC isn't Streetfighter, they have thousands of characters worth doing and millions of characters if we count obscure stuff I'd want.
At 10 figures a year, I'd rather pay the premium Mafex/Revoltech throws out for a couple of awesome stuff than limit my collecting.
Re: Jada Toys Street Fighter Line!
I would not. Mcfarlane is far better than Hasbro for me and has been like 1 mill times better than Mattel ever was.aiborgatel wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 4:38 amIf Jada could finally give us a solid JLA team (or at least, "trinity") in 6 inch I'd be totally ok with 10 figures per year.markhamknight wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 3:02 amAt this price point, Jada >>> Mcfarlane >>> Hasbro... The Street Fighter reviews are glowing. I've seen enough, frankly. I think they're pretty easily the best domestic toy company right now.

Re: Jada Toys Street Fighter Line!
Honestly, Final Fight is something I could see Jada do limited waves for to get them out sooner. And I really hope they do! Wave one Cody, Guy, Poison, wave two Maki, Haggar, alt Cody (either alpha or ff1 depending on which got out first). Roxy exclusive.
There's more FF games but they're so obscure I doubt they'll make the characters from em.
And I'm still rooting for Resident Evil, but at this point I'm just making customs of my faves (Rebecca and Billy) so I don't gotta wait for a pipe dream.
