Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Pretty sure most people want to finish the original 12. For me, I don't really care about the costumes, I just hope that if they decide to make them in SF2 looks, they go the way of SF5 retro Honda.

Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Isaac Wong has a bunch of Zangief pics up if anyone is interested.
Lots of good comparison shots with SFV Zangief.

Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Amazon canceled my Zangief preorder over the weekend. I ordered from Amazon since I wasn't sure I needed another Zangief and wouldn't feel too bad about canceling on them. I guess Amazon beat me to the punch
. Actually, I'm still unsure after seeing the new pics.
I don't remember the SFV version having such a blocky looking crotch.

Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
d_amazing has a review of him up. He does a pretty good side by side showing off what's different about the new one compared to the early SFV version.

Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Looks like Zangief should be here Monday for me. First time ordering directly from Storm. On Facebook people in the US have been getting theirs in. Common theme is no email/tracking provided. Looks like they're being delivered via UPS. I just logged into my UPS account this morning and checked my incoming.

Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Zangief was supposed to drop in the fall of last year, so yeah not too bad of a delay.
I think I'm gonna be good passing on him too....not sure tho, need to see more I guess.

He's cool looking. I would prob want him and Chun Li if I decided to start doing SF2. Memories of a family friend's restaurant that had the old machine.

This is me. I want the original characters only, in those original looks.Shinigami_PL wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 9:11 pmPretty sure most people want to finish the original 12. Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Well, Zangief arrived yesterday. He's pretty awesome in my opinion. Articulation is pretty good for his size. Had some shoddy paint on one of his wrist bands. Normally not a big deal, but for 105 bucks, it kind of sucks. I'm surprised at his size. He seems both larger and smaller than his Street Fighter V counterpart. Head and arms are definitely smaller, chest and feet are larger. I know that they're based on two separate versions. They're both awesome and I definitely think hit the mark on what they're based on. Personally, I like the SF2 version more, but it's probably more a nostalgia thing. I'm surprised that Sota Zangief isn't that much smaller than him.

Man, your SOTA Zangief is still in one piece? Impressive.
I’d had this guy preordered from BBTS, but had to cancel due to money being tight. But seeing pics of him fitting in fairly well with Figuarts, I’ll probably try and grab him at some point. Gief was always a favorite of mine.

I'd definitely pick him up if you can Boy Wonder. I don't know that Street Fighter Figuarts is officially dead, but it seems that way. He's a bit large, but can be fudged in, especially with some posing.

Haha, nope! That Sota Zangief is cobbled together from 2 or 3 of them. I found a stockpile of that wave at like a Sam Goody back in the day. I believe they were less than 5 bucks a piece.Boy Wonder wrote:Man, your SOTA Zangief is still in one piece? Impressive.
