Of course, just an observation. Not saying it's a fact here. I would also imagine Masterverse with the Netflix tie in is ordered at a much higher count giving it the perception that it's lingering. But damn, if my Targets didn't order 60 Beastman. There's 2 endcaps worthPantherCult wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 11:35 pmUnfortunately I think this a very unreliable method of analysis to answer this question. I'm not saying the conclusion is wrong - I'm just saying to find it meaningful you'd need to know a lot of variables like how much was ordered and how regularly stock is refreshed among other things. Without a number of reliable data points its all just guessing.mattmurdog wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 11:28 pm
Based on what I see in stores, I almost think Origins sell better than Masterverse.

This is a good point I hadn't considered. I haven't payed attention to what both lines are doing to enough notice. Makes sense not to have people choosing between two Clawfuls or whatever at the same time.KnightDamien wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 12:25 amLike I mentioned earlier, though, that might have something to do with them not seeming to want to release the same figure in multiple lines all at once.

I'm confident that the reason Rulers of the Sun got folded in to the modern Origins line is because the original MOTU line up had two total characters recognizable as ethnic minorities. The optics on that in a modern line were something Mattel wanted to avoid and so they made this concerted effort to graft on Sun Man and the rest.
But obviously that mentality didn't break down the "boys toys" wall Mattel has put in place for Origins. I get your frustration - I understand it and empathize.
Re: Masters Of The Universe Origins
Certainly can't argue with that - She-Ra and the Princesses had a robust cartoon run in the 80's and just had their own multi-season modern show on Netflix.... the Rulers of the Sun characters were a minor footnote in the 80's and have never had any major media presence.

I got that as well! Can't wait to get these. I figured we'd get these pretty quick, since so many folks on YouTube seem to have Wave 13 in hand already, even here in the US.

Can't remember if this was mentioned earlier, but TRU Canada seems to be getting limited stock of the Cobra Khan/Rattlor wave. Saw Bolt Man and SA He-Man today at a local TRU.

I see a lot of toy photography of Origins online. Very little of Masterverse. That leads me to believe Origins is more popular but only the bean counters at Mattel would really know.

The Walmart stores here STILL have pegs full of Masterverse Wave 1 and haven’t received anything past that. Those shippers full of Wave 1 didn’t sell well so all of that stock was loaded on the pegs and stacked above the pegs on the top shelf.

Yep, just Wave 13 as of now. The e-mails say the figures of 200x style Randor, Snake Teela, Horde Snake Trooper, and Slamurai will be processing and shipping soon. So, nothing beyond Wave 13 yet.Tenement Funster wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 10:08 pmNothing from EE as of now. :-(Super Camel wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 8:34 pmI got that as well! Can't wait to get these. I got my Frog Mongers x3 today, but only opened one. It’s got a lot of unique sculpt, which is nice. The jet pack sits too loosely on his neck and swings around too much. Aside from that, looking forward to having him dwell in the dungeons of my Castle Grayskull.

Re: Masters Of The Universe Origins
I got my Frog Monger as well, and I also found a clearance, Wal-Mart exclusive flocked Panthor for $10! I had seen flocked Panthor get clearance prices of $29, and then $17. I never pulled the trigger just because I have 2 regular origins Panthor, and then I have the vintage flocked Panthor. But for $10, why not.
Frog Monger is a really cool figure. I just got 1. I thought about buying a couple to army build, but I kind of just like him as a single, one-off character that's down in the dungeon of Castle Grayskull.
