Best Martian Manhunter?

Until Mezco makes one, do we have a consensus on which Martian Manhunter is the best looking version of him?

I doubt that there's a consensus, also doubt if a Mezco one will be the best.

Currently I only own a DCD 1st Appearance one because of the costume


I've missed out on DCC N52


But will buy Todd's figure and headswap it for a less cartoony look

Why would the Mezco one automatically be the best version? Mezco is a style preference. Some people love the fabric suits and others hate them.

I personally think they look great in photos but feel clunky to pose as I'm worried about stressing the details on the fabric.

I don't think you'll find a general consensus on which MM is the best....maybe which one is the worst.

geez louise obviously they personally prefer mezco, they're not making an objective declaration.

anyway, i don't think there's really any great options out there. i haven't pulled out my dcuc one in a while, but i wonder if it has the discoloration issues a bunch of them have developed over the years.

Not sure why anyone would think the Mezco wouldn’t be better overall since it would probably come with cool attachments, wired cape, and potentially light up eyes.

However, since one isn’t available, I need a place holder til one is. It’s really that simple.

Best is definitely a subjective term. But with the track record of wired capes and cool attachments, I think it would be hard to beat. I want an awesome placeholder til then.

Do you like any of his more classic looks in the figure design? Alex Ross version, Unmasked, etc?

There’s another one. Big sucker from DCD. Based on Ed McGuiness artwork. More of a traditional design but a bit cartoony. It is after all, McGuiness. He’d probably scale very well, but still may not look right with McDC’s.

I actually own that one and think he looks fantastic! But to your point, he just towers over everything and is crazy wide to place next to other 1/12 figures.

Yeah the variant had a more "Martian" head and a blade hand. I only have the regular version, though thankfully that's the version I wanted in the first place.

I am partial to the Secret Files Unmasked MM from DC Direct. Great sculpt.
