Yeah these figures aren’t bad. Maybe some bad design choices but if you can look past those they are great. I think Batman, Robin, Superman are far better than the Mattel counterparts. I quite like Superman outside of the head sculpt. Even Joker would have been a tremendous figure if they just made him comic accurate.

I think this is the first wave where I’m somewhat disappointed that this line isn’t 6” scale. If it were I’d buy Batman/Robin from McFarlane, Superman McFarlane (w/Mattel Head), and MAFEX Joker. Plus being able to have Mutant Leader and Sons of Batman in there too from Mattel would have made for a nice display.

I think I mentioned before being burned out on DKR merch, and yet it was a pleasure to preorder this wave. It's all about the horse!

I think these look great.
Batman especially looks incredible.

The only thing that really looks BAD to me is Jokers headsculpt.

Preordered the set of four from BBTS and the single four from Amazon. I also preordered a second Superman off both to use for a bigger Bizarro and whoever else I can think of, lol.

The weird thing about BBTS is that if you order the complete set of all four figures together it's $99.99 which is actually more expensive than if you order them separately which comes to $99.96 (it's only 3 cents, but still…). Plus they still charge you shipping. You'd think they'd offer at least some sort of token discount to make it more appealing to order the complete set. Or at the very least not charge even more for it. That makes no sense to me.

As a result, I ordered them all individually (plus an extra Batman) on Dorkside and got free shipping. I also ordered them all individually on Amazon with free shipping as well.

Batman has thigh cut
Because he needs to sit in the saddle and have his feet in the stirrups.

These look great. Comparing them to Mafex and Mezco is like comparing Spin Masters with Todd.

My hope now is for more big stories and more Elseworlds. The big Elseworlds anyway. Kingdom Come, New Frontier, Red Rain, the Nail, Gotham by Gaslight, Justice Riders, etc.

Yeah but don't you get charged when you make the order on McFarlane's site.
There is no paying when the order is in stock or ships.
Yeah, found out myself, no thanks.

If that's the case then once I get home I will change my order to Dorkside. Thanks.

so do we think these are early prototypes or does joker lack any kind of arm swivel?

Maybe he has a ball shoulder tucked inside his coats big shoulders.

Or since batman and supes have elbow swivels and no biceps they forgot joker.

Whenever someone calls out a flaw and wonders if they're early prototypes, they never are. It's exactly what we end up getting.

Joker does have to double jointed elbows, however.

Looking at the images on Amazon, I'm pretty sure Joker just has the double elbows. It could be McFarlane didn't want to break up the sculpt or something had to be sacrificed for the horse.

usually, but there's been multiple instances with this line where that hasn't been the case.
