It's D Amazing. It'll be a glowing apologetic review qualified by the fact he likes it, but you may not.
I am sure he already has one in hand, but is carefully rehearsing what he is going to say and how he is going to examine the figure as per Mez's request.
GOD FORBID someone ONLY posts videos of figures they like, instead of ripping the shit out of something to get the "internet cool points" from the haters.

He likes something, so he MUST BE KISSING ASS, because YOU don't like it?

Anybody that has Bats in hand, what's the squishiness of the silicone? How dense is it?

Agreed on D Amazing. I enjoy his reviews, and I enjoy listening to his tone during my commute. Even though his words can be a bit overly-positive at times, if you watch how he handles the figures you get all of the info you need. He typically puts every figure through their paces on camera, it usually answers all of my questions regarding posing.

I keep hoping to see my Batman ship...I live only a couple hours from Fife WA, so I keep hoping for shipping to announce from there lol

I’d say semi squishy. The body definitely feels like rubber but he’s not like a kitchen sponge by any means. And the metal armature underneath is pretty substantial. It’s not just a few free floating wires. This feels more like a series of interconnecting prosthetic limbs

My biggest issue with youtube reviewers are the people who complain about them. If someone is typically overly positive, they're a "suck up" or a "shill". If someone gives you cold, hard facts they're "abrasive" and "polarizing". Let the guys run their channels how they want. What do I care if a guy gets free samples from the toy company? Because that basically makes him an employee and he's not unbiased? So what? The GI Joe commercials I saw on TV when I was a kid weren't unbiased either. They cast the toys in the best possible light to make them attractive to the buyers. I (my mom) still bought what I wanted (if I was a good boy or if it was my birthday) and if I didn't want it I passed. As an adult, toys get advertised in different ways, but I'm ultimately the one making the calls.

Damaizing, Robo, Shartimus, Anthony Customs, erivera, and a couple of others are usually my go-tos. They all have their own style, but one thing they have in common is smooth camera work, easy to see, detailed looks at various aspects of the figure, good comparisons, (generally) not wasting time while they try to figure out technical issues on camera. The quality of the presentation is often more important to me vs what they say about it, heck, sometimes I watch with the sound off. I mostly know who's getting their stuff from the company, I know who the borderline apologists are, if they make good videos, it's all OK. I just want to see what I'm thinking about buying. And if I still have questions one way or another after watching one of those guys, then I go watch another.

Mouth swapped and Tamiya weathered the battle damage mouth onto the rolling eyeball head, and did some additional touch-ups to make the emblem more weathered and the eyeballs less ImageImageImagelooking .

I think a lot of toy reviewers review stuff they like to begin with, so there’s often going to be more positive reviews than negative ones. There are some that come across as apologetic about the product or won’t even talk about the price and those reviews strike me more as showcases than actual reviews. They have some value, just know what you’re getting into. I’m mostly of the mind that if it’s well lit and professionally edited then it’s probably good enough for what I need from it. Anyone who only accepts product in exchange for a positive review is indeed a shill, but that’s hard to prove. A bunch of people get free stuff from the prominent companies so we would likely know if any of those companies made such demands. I know Anthony said Hiya Toys approached him about such an arrangement that he turned down, so I guess that’s one company to be wary of. Bonus points to anyone who demonstrates parts swapping on camera since some figures can be a pain and I like to see that demonstrated. I also like fresh out of the box reviews, no heating of joints or anything, to get the most accurate sense of what the figure will be like for me. Though actual unboxings I find worthless and a waste of time.

With some heat and pop with your prying tool of choice, it can be done. Trick is cleaning/digging out the glue residue left behind in the mouth plate sockets

I kinda love everything about this figure. The body is actually fantastic. The cape is the most problematic because it’s a really thin material, but there are custom 3rd party capes made from thicker pleather gauges that will allow the cape to fit and lay more naturally. I’m using a cape from a previous custom Neca 89 Batman instead and it’s perfect

I bet he feels like a Manglor. Remember those? I had one back in the day and lemme tell you, those were the biggest rip-offs in toy history!

I hope Batman isn't as squishy or sucky as a Manglor.
