I joined these boards years ago, but ended up leaving and never got around to posting any of my custom work. I ended up getting real heavy into my projects in 2009, and even started selling them about a year ago. Which was a huge stepping stone for me. These days I'm avidly creating new figures every week, trying to learn new techniques and enhance my skills all the time. I wanted to come back here and start posting my customs to get any feedback that any of the awesome customizers here could offer. I'll start with a few and get new figures up every Sunday since that's when I tend to update all of my pages. Thanks for looking!
First up, Hydra Spiderman 2099. This is my second version of this character that first appeared in the Exiles comic. I had forgotten about him altogether until he reappeared in the Spiderman Shattered Dimensions game as an alternate costume. He's a simple creation. A Spiderman Body, Spiderman 2099 head, Storm Shadow hands, and 1mm ribbon for the wrappings on his arms. I tried to glue the ribbon carefully to get as close as I could to the comic look.
Next is Davos, the Steel Phoenix. My most recent creation. He gave me a lot of unusual issues with rub. Even after sanding and sealing. But, after a bit more sanding and some extra sealer he finally works as intended. I searched forever until I found a good shot of him that really showed his colors so I could get him as accurate as possible. I even cut the hair off the back of the Iron Fist head to help separate him from Danny Rand. The Weapon X feet fit well, I just had to sand away a little of the bulk so his legs wouldn't bulge out so much.
Dr Strangefate. I got big into making Amalgam figures for a while, but increasing difficulty made me put them on hold for a while. I think I made it to 7 though. One of them, and my favorite of the batch, was Dr Strangefate. Sculpted ankh on the boots, sculpted gauntlets, and sculpted belt. For the details involved at the time, he was one of my most difficult customs to make. And by far one of my absolute favorites. I used Dr Strange arms, lower legs, and cloak. Hawkeye body and upper legs. And DC Infinite Heroes Dr Fate head.
Dark Knight Rises Catwoman. I ended up getting the Battle for Gotham five pack before it became rare everywhere, and decided to try my hand at Catwoman. At the time I just saw constant Bane customs, and I really liked her look for the movie. Even those bladed heels. I started with a Black Widow body and sculpted the collar and her sleeves and used thread for the piping on the suit. I used Baroness legs and sanded the top portions down to look like thigh boots with no studs on them. The head fit perfect and I wish that pack was still easy to come by. Would love to use it for other projects.
Finally, Grendel. Hunter Rose. I wanted to show variation in my first post, and going with him brings a nice close to that. I never knew much about Grendel, but I liked the look. Realized later he's like Iron Fist. A lot of people have held the title. I'd like to go do more, but I can't find a lot of popularity behind the character. Or perhaps it's just my custom. I wasn't able to figure out how to properly make his staff, and he doesn't feel rather incomplete without it. But, otherwise, he's a Spiderman repaint, with the mask straps from Iron Fist, and hands from a random 25th Anniversary GI Joe.

Re: Dravenheart Designs: New figures every Sunday!
New batch. Get a little bit more brief here with things, too. Thanks for looking!
Concept Scorpion. Built with Whiplash body, Comic War Machine lower legs, WO Movie Sabretooth upper legs, and Star Wars Prisoner Obi-Wan head.
Llyron. Never heard of this guy til now. Simple Namor head on Bullseye body.
Birdman. MU Guardian body, Daredevil lower arms, Constrictor legs, and Hawkeye head. Had to mix and match, but could easily just be Guardian body with Hawkeye head. Wings are from DC Infinite Heroes Hawkman. Sculpted the gauntlets, ankle bands, collar, and belt. Avenger is a repainted Redbird. Shield from Cap and energy blast from Iron Man.
Space Ghost. Used a Hawkeye body to make sculpting the button onto his wrist bands simpler. Captain Britain head, and cape from DCIH Superman. Sculpted the belt.
The Spot. Repaint of a Spiderman body, but far from simple. The black dots on the white base made errors hard to fix.
Iron Fist Orson Randall. One of my favorites. Iron Fist head, WO Comic Logan body, Movie Logan arms, Movie Sabretooth feet, Deadpool belt and hands, and DCIH Jim Gordon jacket.
Mystique. Straight repaint of MU Mystique to get the look of the black and white costume she wore for a little while. Belt is sanded down and painted from Black Widow.

That battle pack is rare? Glad I got it. Nice job with this. If I were a customizer, I would LOVE to do this.Dravenheart wrote: Dark Knight Rises Catwoman. Re: Dravenheart Designs: New figures every Sunday!
Thanks for the comments. Here's my other two Iron Fist customs. Got more planned too. They're popular requests.
Major Victory. Had done him once before, but he needed a massive update. Better skin tone, better application of white. Smoother paints. Looks much better. I chose this outfit because I've never seen it done in this scale. Just his first blue and white one, and I prefer this one. Head is ROC Spirit. Body is Cap Movie Bucky Cap. Lower Legs come from MU Wonder Man, and the Jacket is from WO Movie Sabretooth.
Vostok. They released Crimson Dynamo and Red Guardian, and Darkstar is made often, but I've never seen this guy, so I gave him a shot. MU Gladiator body with MU Drax head.
Fongji Wu. The most recent addition to the Iron Fist mythos. Added during AvX. Apparently she was trained by Lei Kung to be the Iron Fist and the Phoenix host. And of course, she's a redhead. Made from a few parts, but is basically an MU Phoenix repaint.
Lei Kung. Speaking of him, the man who trained each Iron Fist. MU Doc Samson body with a Captain Britain head.
Blazing Skull. Was a random figure one week, but I love how he came out. MU Hawkeye body, Ghost Rider head, and Captain America gauntlets.
Iron Lantern. Another in the Amalgam line. The amalgamation of Green Lantern and Iron Man. Just a straight MU Iron Man repaint with a little sculpt on the helmet and for the lantern logo on his chest.

Re: Dravenheart Designs: New figures every Sunday!
Time for a new batch. Some lesser known for the most part. Or rarely seen in this scale. Opinions are greatly welcome. Thanks for looking!
Nexus. A Dark Horse character originally created for Capital Comics. A basic repaint with sculpted goggles. MU Guardian body with a Cyclops body.
Night Lantern. An actual character that appeared during a Batman/Superman comic where they were sent into an alternate reality. The Teen Titans were merged with the Justice League, making the Justice Titans, with Green Lantern and Nightwing amalgamated into Night Lantern. MU Shadowland Daredevil body with a Captain America movie Winter Soldier head.
Tempest. Haven't seen Aquaman's original sidekick very often in this scale. This one was a lot of fun to do. MU Bullseye body, with a Star Wars Jango Fett (I believe) head.
Shamrock. This is a little known Marvel character. She first appeared during the Contest of Champions, and hasn't been seen much since then. I'm a fan of green and the Irish, so I had to make her. lol An MU Black Widow body with a cast head.
Nitro. In his classic uniform at that. Sculpted the chest piece and his bracers. MU Doc Samson head on a Gladiator body.
Northstar & Aurora. A classic brother/sister pair that was a challenge to pull off in their original costumes, but with great results. Northstar is an MU Spiderman body with a GI Joe ROC Storm Shadow head. Aurora is an MU Mystique body with a Psylocke head.

Re: Dravenheart Designs: New figures every Sunday!
Thanks mate! Time for a new batch. Been delving more into lesser know, or lesser done, characters. Been really getting into the Valiant guys. Couple of them are older pictures, so they don't have the logo on them. Here we go:
Rai. A Valiant character. A title passed down from father to son in a line created based upon the hero Bloodshot. This is Tohru Nakadai, I believe. The 42nd Rai. MU Bullseye body, with Namor lower legs, and a Thor movie Hogun head.
Toad. Wanted a version that was still short and fat like he was when he first appeared in the comics. MU Moon Knight body with what I believe in a Star Wars Luke Skywalker head.
Undertaker. The Build N Brawl series gave us the new version, but I wanted the classic look. I mixed a pale skin tone with a light gray to get the flesh right. WO Sabretooth body, WO Comic Logan upper arms, MU Hobgoblin lower arms, ROC Destro lower legs, Build N Brawl Undertaker head, and unknown feet.
Sersi. Crystal actually preceded her and I didn't want to do another jacket character, so I made her green uniform instead. MU Psylocke body, Darth Talon head, and ROC Baroness hair.
Crystal. Seen a few of her, and love this character, but wanted a different version. I found a picture of when she was an Avengers and went with it since I hadn't seen it done in this scale. MU Black Widow body and head, MU Storm jacket and lower arms, and ROC Cover Girl upper arms.
Green Lantern Kreon. Always been a Green Lantern fan, so wanted to do some customs of them. The first I made was Kreon here. MU Shadowland Daredevil body with a cast head.

Re: Dravenheart Designs: New figures every Sunday!
Shouldn't be any double posted characters here. Got a few more lesser known in the batch.
Badger. A character published by many different companies, last under IDW, meant as a superhero spoof. Straight repaint of MU Captain Marvel.
The Ferret. Originated in 1942, brought back in 1993 as part of the Protectors under Malibu. A volatile hero, not seen since Marvel bought Malibu in the mid 90s. MU Gladiator body with Doc Samson head.
Moonwing. Another Amalgam. I did a few of these guys. Amalgamation of Nightwing and Moon Knight. A fan of this project got me into a lot of Dick Grayson variations. MU Moon Knight head and cape, Falcon body, and Daredevil lower arms.
Madame Cat. The amalgamation of Catwoman and Viper. MU Black Widow body and head, ROC Helix hair. Belt is from a Star Wars character with random holsters and guns.
Jason Todd. One of my favorites. Hated him as Robin, but when they brought him back. WO Comic Logan body, Sabretooth legs, Movie Logan jacket and arms, random hands, and MU Winter Soldier head.
Cosmic Ultimate Spiderman. Not from the comics itself, but from the Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions game. Cosmic uniforms were made as downloadable content. Amazing Spiderman got his comic look, but concepts were made for Ultimate, Noir, and 2099. Straight repaint of MU Spiderman.

Re: Dravenheart Designs: New figures every Sunday!
Not sure if everyone here will be known. I'll try to give a quick backstory.
Water Wizard. Former villain of Ghost Rider. Later became known as Aquaduct. A mashup of parts here. All MU. Winter Soldier head, Taskmaster lower arms and upper legs, Dr Strange lower legs, and Cyclops body. Sculpted the top portion of the boots.
Starman. Thom Kallor, I believe. Lot of people went by Starman, I get them mixed up. Member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Straight MU Guardian repaint with sculpt over his mouth to make the full mask.
Black Hole. Morton Kribbee was mutated with a grain of white dwarf star fell into his chest. The transformation allows him to create black holes in his chest. Used a different technique with this guy. Wanted to see how I did giving him a grittier look. Straight MU Bullseye repaint with sculpt over the mouth to make the full mask.
Green Lantern Barbara Gordon. Not a canon character. In 2000, there was an Elseworlds story released called Created Equal. In it, Barbara Gordon became the last Green Lantern. MU Spiderwoman body, Black Widow head, and Mystique hair.
White Tiger III - Kasper Cole. Used a synthetic form of Black Panther's herbs to get his powers. Ups the ante by toting guns, as well. MU Black Panther head, WO Gambit jacket, MU Ghost Rider lower arms, Cyclops body, Moon Knight lower legs.
Black Knight. In the outfit he wore for much of the Captain Britain and MI:13 series. Probably my personal favorite look for him. WO Comic Logan body, Movie Logan jacket and arms, 25th Viper legs (I think?), cast head and sword.

More photos of these characters can be found on my Facebook. You can find the link in my Profile or just search Dravenheart Designs. Lots of Leon pictures there. Went crazy with different guns and backdrops. Took close to about a dozen or so. lol Thanks for looking!
Leon S Kennedy. The Resident Evil hero who debuted in Resident Evil 2. Made as he appeared (or close to it) at the beginning of Resident Evil 6. Wolverine Origins Movie Logan (lumberjack version) body, Movie Sabretooth Legs, Jacket Logan arms and jacket. Cast head from AngelForge.
Chthon. Following Secret Invasion he possessed the body of Quicksilver and did battle with a new Mighty Avengers. MU Iceman body, Iron Fist belt, Bucky lower arms, and Adam Warlock head.
Iron Fist - red variant. Marvel Legends gave us a red costume variant, it's appeared in games, and been made into statues, but no MU release. So, I repainted the regular Iron Fist.
Eel. The second version of this character as Edward Lavell. This one's still alive and last I heard was part of Sin's Serpent Squad. Straight MU Guardian repaint with sculpt over the mouth.

Back with more! Including a third addition to my Major Victory creations.
Multiplex. DC Villain created by the same explosion that gave us Firestorm. Can duplicate ala Marvel's Multiple Man. GI Joe 25th Anniversary Cobra Commander head and MU Spiderman body.
Major Victory. In his first containment suit, but as he appeared in the Guardians of the Galaxy series, so he's sans the star on his chest. MU Adam Warlock body and WO Iceman head.
Death Wish. Alternate reality version of Deadpool, or more specifically, Victor Von Doom. WO Deadpool repaint with some slight sculpting.
Dark Surfer. A character that appeared in the Super Hero Squad show that I thought would convert well to Marvel Universe. MU Silver Surfer repaint, Captain America gauntlet (created in the exact way the Infinity Gauntlet appears on the show), and sword resculpted from the Super Hero Squad released Infinity Sword.
Thanoseid. The amalgamation of Darkseid and Thanos. MU Thanos body with a Skaar head with sculpt added.

Merry Christmas everyone! This week I had to finish Vulcan. Been wanting to make one for a while and decided to start with his more basic look. Took quite a few pictures of him, even a couple posed with Cyclops. Didn't have a Havok to add into the mix. One of the pictures is even a jacket wearing variant of the Jim Lee Cyclops. Check them out on Facebook. You can find the link in my profile or just search Dravenheart Designs there. Thanks for looking!
Vulcan. Younger brother of Cyclops and Havok. MU Wonder Man repaint.
Ion. Niece to Blazing Skull and former Femizon. MU Invisible Woman body and Psylocke head.
Viper. Leader of Hydra. MU Psylocke head, Mystique body, Star Wars Aurra Sing belt, ROC Baroness feet, and random holsters.
Daken. Son of Wolverine in street clothes. Preferred him in the casual look than his costume he got later. WO Movie Logan body, Cast Daken head.
Bobby Drake. Wanted to do a non-iced up form of Iceman. Couldn't find a good shot of him, so I think the belt was just an addition on the X-Men animated series. MU Spiderman body, 25th Duke head.

This week's batch includes some very obscure characters. Even I had a hard time figuring out where some of them came from. Lot of pictures of Abbey Chase up on Facebook too. About a dozen or so. Feel free to look up Dravenheart Designs to see them and some other characters I have yet to post. Full albums with reference pictures there.
Smuggler. Former member of the Redeemers and Thunderbolts. MU Spiderman body with a Future Foundation Spiderman head.
The Comet. A Champion of Xandar who defended their homeworld from the Skrulls. MU Shadowland Daredevil body, Captain America: The First Avenger Red Guardian head.
Abbey Chase. Lead character of Danger Girl. MU Mystique body, Sue Storm head, and Avengers Black Widow holster.
Meteor Man. Lesser known Spiderman villain. MU Adam Warlock body, Bullseye head.
Gambit. A loose interpretation of the X-Man as the Horseman Death. ROC Rex Lewis body, Build N Brawl John Morris head, WO Gambit staff and lower legs, WO Sabretooth jacket.

Just newer figures this time. I'm sure there's still more old ones I've missed, but I'm losing track. Have to reevaluate before I add more. Now, the figures. Geiger and Thundra both have quite a few pictures up on Facebook. Various poses in and of themselves, and poses with She-Hulk and Hulk both. Feel free to look me up under Dravenheart Designs to check them out. I tried to get more creative this week.
Geiger. Avengers Initiative member who can mimic the abilities of gamma powered beings. MU She-Hulk body with Steve Rogers feet.
Thundra. Femizon from a female dominated future and former member of Sue Storm's Lady Liberators. MU She-Hulk body, Hawkeye lower legs, and ROC Gen Hawk hands.
Bloodscream. A loose recreation of Wolverine's vampire-like villain. Not really my design either. WO Sabretooth body with GI Joe 25th Buzzer head.
Unus the Untouchable. Mutant who can create a force field around himself, and former member of the Brotherhood. MU Captain Britain body with GI Joe Resolute Duke head.
