Well, first let me say that the members of this board are quite awe-inspiring and incredibly resourceful. Its been a real pleasure viewing all of the work around here.
With that said, I humbily submit my renditions of our favorite comic toy line.

First up is my 'Evolution of Colossus' customs.

(from L to R) FA Colossus (modified belt buckle), Asgardian Wars Colossus (simple repaint), Romita JR Colossus (repaint with ruber band acs.), and Jim Lee Colossus (with modified arm guanlets and boot flaps).

Next up I've got some mods to Wolverine.

Yes, thats a Wolverine with metal claws, I did it too, saw everyone else's and needed to do it myself. Also, I couldn't stand that he only had swivel wrists, so I switched them with a ML3 Tiger Stripe Wolverine, sanded down a little to fit his smaller forearms better, then painted rust.

Then I did the same claw application to my XMC Tiger Stripe Wolverine

Also, added the shoulder pieces from the ML3 Wolverine that I had already taken his hands from.

Here we go with Havok and Polaris from their early X-Factor days. Funny, I never really cared for the artwork during this time period, but I did dig the books and thought the uniforms were cool.
Havok is a ML6 Movie Punisher, with rubber bands for the 'X' and wrist details, paper clip for the belt buckle, and the original jacket cut down, painted and wires inserted to provide posability. The jacket 'X' is the head of a thumb tack.

Polaris is a ML8 Storm body and hair, with a ML8 Black Widow head, along with rubber bands for the wrist straps and the 'X' cut from Storm's shoulder.

Torch; Thank you for the kind words, I've noticed that you're on the boards a lot and always have good things to say, so thank you.
I'll follow that up with a repaint of Rogue.

I swapped her head for the one off of the X-Men Classics X-Treme Rogue but kept the hair from the Jim Lee version. The headband is a rubberband. I always liked this costume, and surprisingly I've not yet run across anyone else having done this one.

And before I hit the sack I'm going to finish off with Storm(s)

ML8 Storms, one just modified and the other with the head from a 5" Storm Robot Fighters head that had the original hair removed and new hair sculpted on, then repainted to use the uniform from Uncanny X-Men 275, when she wore this one and the rest of the team wore the original blue & gold X-Men uniforms.

Also, a Jean Grey

ML6 repaint, with cut vinyl for the shoulder details, rubber bands for the wrists gauntlets and belt and thumb tack for the belt buckle.
Thats it for now, I'm tired and off to bed.
Until next time, keep Fwooshing, Fwooshers!

Pretty nice stuff, man. I wish I had the time and budget to do all those X-Men variations. I love seeing all the different costumes they've had lined up next to each other like that Colossus.
A couple of critiques and comments:
I love the Romita Colosus. I've only seen that costume done once or twice before. Nice work.
The Rogue looks great. Did you repaint the head at all? Most of the ones I have seen have a horrible "rouge/blush" effect on the cheeks, which is mostly what gives her her horrid "Toni Basil" look. Yours doesn't seem to have it that badly at all.
Also, on the Rogue, I like that your glossy paint has sort of a metallic sheen to it, which is similar to how that figure came in the first place... however, it mighjt be a good idea to spreay it (and definitely the other figures) with matte finish such as Testors' Dullcote. Your stuff will have a much cleaner, "factory" look.
Oh yeah, and Jean Grey needs her little blue leg pouches.
Oh, and finally, I loved the art and writing during that period of X-Factor, but I thought the costumes were stupid.

They all look great, sepster. I specifically dig the classic Havok,(ping pong ball? Very creative) and the Jean Grey customs.
You're paint skills are very good and your eye for detail is dead on. Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff, and welcome to the Fwoosh!

I love your customs. They are terrific. I am a little dissappointed though. I clicked on the thread because I though the word "Cache" was slang for a woman's...
Anyway, those are terrific customs.

Thank you to everyone for taking a look at some of my work. I appreciate the comments and the advice.
CosmicHippo, I took your recomendation and started to use Dullcote, that does allow for some better photos, thanks.
This is an early custom I did of Cyclops

He is a SMC Daredevil body, repainted, with the belt from a 5" Cyclops and Phoenix two-pack and the visor cut off of the Sinister Series ML Cyclops.
Even after ML10's Cyclops came out I still wanted to hang onto this one. I feel it looks a little more like I would picture John Byrne's take on the character.

I saw your Colossi elsewhere and was mighty impressed - your devotion to the character is inspiring, and your paint skills are intense. Are those sculpted rings on Havok's chest? Awesome. You're right about Classic Cyclops, it screams "Byrne" like nothing Toy Biz has done. I'd only suggest a few sculptural mods here and there - smoothing over the Romita and Adams Colossi's sides, and removing Classic Havok's leg bands. But those are wicked difficult to see, thanks to your fine paint work, and I'm picking at straws anyway.
Great stuff. Can't wait to see more.

Dustin, Thank you for the advice and compliments.
Those are sculpted rings on Havok. I had done a few customs of Havok in the 5" scale and always found painting the rings (especially on a none-flat surface) to be a major pain, hence the sculpting.
The High-flying Angel

Repaint, that's it. After finishing this guy I realize that I really should have primed first, oh well, it looks better in person.
