How often do the BaFs in the X-waves have to do with figures in the waves when they aren't themed (like Age of Apocolypse and House of X)? Bone Crusher wasn't in a wave with another reaver. Strong Guy wasn't in a wave with another member of X-Factor. It could be Ch'od of course, but Corsair's inclusion doesn't really indicate that. It could just as easily be Sy'm or N'astrith or Orphan Maker or Scalphunter, or whomever.
That would be one cool BAF! I really enjoyed the "Inferno" crossover and would love to get a BAF of him! I wonder if he'd work as a BAF, or if he'd have to be a Deluxe figure ala MODOK or Mojo.
He also has repaint potential, as he's been both green and red. So they could release him as a BaF in either color then re-release it in a convention box set with Sy'm and the Goblin Queen.
Good point! That'd make for a great convention set. I'm not sure which version I'd rather have, in terms of the color. Might have to get one for the X-Men villains shelf, and put the other with the demonic Hobgoblin from the Space Venom Series on the Spider-Man villains shelf.

I think this Cyclops will be the first of many to use the Vulcan body.

That would be a mistake, but I would imagine you're right.

Gods they better not put Astonishing Cyclops on that body. That would be terrible. Jim Lee sure, but not Astonishing. He lost some mass in that suit.

I really feel as if they will cheap out as Astonishing Cyclops SHOULD require the raised sculpt detail, wheras Astonishing/Utopia Cyclops, which they could jam into the category, would have printed details (like the Puck wave), on the Vulcan body.

Sadly I think we all know the pin stripes / piping paintjob for Cyclops' Astonishing look will likely be underwhelming. I have to wonder if them being raised might make it worse overall.

If true, this is indeed one of the strongest X-Men waves since the Apocalypse BAF one.

If Emma comes out perfect, It's the first wave that I'll be buying completed.

This will be stellar if Monet and Fang come with swappable parts for Penance and Wolverine, respectively.

Very curious on who the BAF will be. Ch'od would be awesome.

Was Fang as small as Wolverine originally or did the suit shrink when he wore it?

They already have multiple Wolvie bodies to mix and match.

If they go with a standard body, then it should be Daken as the alternate head.

Throwing out an Astonishing Colossus for a dark horse BAF candidate.

Just checked Uncanny #107 and the only panel they're in together is this one.

They've mostly abandoned using larger bodies for (comic) Wolverine figures, so if it does come with alternate Logan parts, it'll likely be on the body they've been using since the Juggernaut wave.

I hope that they BAF is either Onyx or Glob Herman.
Either of them would or Gentle would be a huge surprise! Armor would be very cool and unexpected and tie in with Emma and Cyclops.

I am kinda assuming given the rumored Fang and Corsair and the Training uniform sets that Cho’d or Warstar are also strong candidates.

Yeah, I'd be shocked if isn't Ch'od frankly. Pairing him with Corsair makes sense and it's easy reuse of the existing Abomination BAF. Realistically they could do it with a new head, a belt overlay and a Cr'reee pack in. Why sculpt a new BAF when you can reuse one you've already got?

Yup, that’s my thought; Controller has a lot of Thanos right?

Exactly. And it's why people in the Spider-Man thread are speculating Grizzly as a BAF to reuse some Ursa Major. Of course I would have thought it would have meant Sasquatch re-use for M'Baku and that never happened, so...

Looks like just new gloves and boots. Maybe a new crotch piece.

Sasquatch is a little too big for M'Baku for me. He's like Shaquille O'Neil big ... not 9 feet tall big.

According to the handbook of the MU, Fang stands a whopping one inch taller than Wolvie. Easily close enough to fudge with figures.

I mean... it depends on the art you use I guess but:

So for the Velutto version at least, the Sasquatch body wouldn't be too far off. I wouldn't object to new legs, though.
