Such a disappointment how hasbro phoned in one of my most wanted figures. Her face is reasonably cute, but that's about it. This could've been more understandable if she part of a wave and she was the simple figure needed to keep everything under budget.
Looks just like the picture
I mean really, aren't most customizers using a Scarlett Witch torso?
I kinda like this look. The head may need a little height adjustment and the collar is getting in the way. It may need to be trimmed in the back. I bet I'm going to end up with four or five of these Rogues.
The back of Rogue's hair is formed to fit very closely to her proper body, so the jacket is getting in the way.
I'd considered buying this "Outback" Rogue once it hits sale specifically for the head. I'm not sure I really need it that badly now though. Nothing against your part swap, but that head just makes me think of a country singer like Loretta Lynn or Dolly Parton for some reason. I think it's the much larger lower mandible/jaw than the artwork and the recent Rogue figures we've gotten. Makes her look much older, and as such, doesn't reflect Art Adams or J. Scott Campbell's style either. To quote Winneh the Pooh "oh bother..."
Amazon moved my X-villains pack to tomorrow. I also couldn’t wait any longer and ordered Blob, the Banshee three-pack, and Outback Rogue from CMDStore. Should be here probably by Tuesday. Also have Marvel Select Apocalypse coming tomorrow. With the Forge pack I already have that will be 14 new X-Men figures.
Very excited to have all the X-Men 60th anniversary sets soon! I don’t think I’ve ever gotten as many X-Men figures ever. I think even as a kid on my birthday or Christmas I’d have maxed out at like seven or eight figures.
I am admittedly not someone who was dying for this Rogue to get made, but I think the figure looks great for what it’s representing. I’ll never say no to bigger hair (shout out to white Elektra having the best Legends head of all time) and the lack of dedicated sculpting for the thigh highs plagues many a Legends figure, but the figure will fit solidly with the others from that era.
I genuinely wish they'd have modeled the Art Adams bigger hair Rogue from the 80s, as the J. Scott Campbell one's hair doesn't have the volume. Of course I'm sure a lot of people want a Silvestri Rogue with more slick or pointed hair, which is valid, but I'd say the Art Adams version is my preferred 80s Rogue. Plus is this figure significantly larger than Longshot or is it just the angle in that pic? I hope it's just because she's in the foreground.
I bought her from CMD. Probably not a good decision money wise because shipping added over $10, but it didn't stop me from quickly ordering.
BBTS has been doing a great job lately shipping my orders next day or even same day. However, FedEx is likely going to miss a weekend delivery on Forge/Storm/Jubilee, darn.
Hottest Rogue hair and face sculpt I've ever seen. Looks a bit like Anne Archer from the Jack Ryan movies. High five, uncredited sculptor. Job well done.
Rogue looks good enough, just not how I wanted them to do it. Looking at her side by side with the retro version, they look like two different women, I'd have been happy with them just sticking with the head from the retro version, and yes, I'd trade the double elbows for it being on the Moonstone buck just to keep the same body type. If they did those things, the painted-on green costume pieces may have been overlooked. But again.......she LOOKS good enough. I don't know if she's "$25 with no accessories" good.
