Re: What's next for ML in 2022-2023

This has been an incredibly light year for me, too. I thought about making a thread in General Toys about it. As far as Legends, only 20th Cap and Walmart Doctor Strange for me so far.

I had thought of this as a light year, and then I reviewed all of my purchases. I'm at 22 figures, with two more in the wings (Retro Lizard and the Doc Ock/Silk 2-pack), that will put me close to $800 for the year if you include taxes & shipping.

But I'm now honestly getting to that stage where there are only a few unmade characters left I'd buy (~25). Where they get me is with new releases of core characters that are just different enough in some novel way that I feel compelled to buy them. Of the 24 I'll have bought this year, only 2 were net-new characters or new character versions (not re-dos): Web-Man and Bag-Man.

Is that right?

We must be about due a few more juicy rumours by now…

I think there was a sentinel rumor but unfortunately I think it was for the 3.75 line as much as I want a Capcom style sentinel

Yeah, we're probably due for some leaks. I feel like Legends winds down for the year between like September and the first wave of the "next year" shipping in December, though.

Would either be there or possibly in the Toybiz tribute line since the rerelease came with the white lab coat in that X-Men boxed set. Heck they could even release that entire boxed set and it would sell well.

Oh, interesting. Hope it’s Dan Ketch - I’ve got the ML3 bike he could commandeer. But it’s probably more likely to be Robbie Reyes, as he’s due a figure.

Any chance this is Bring on the bad guys wave 2? I personally think "molecule" is a little too on the nose because obviously Molecule Man. But the 2nd one on the list made me think Nitro immediately.

I think this is either a BotBG wave 2 or an X-Men wave.
