I watched a mini-interview with the dude running this project and he seems really cool and humble. Something I really liked was the admission that not everyone can buy everything, so even though you could theoretically get multiple waves of figures in the coming Kickstarter - you're not going to be expected to do so, and post-wave 1 stuff will be available outside the KS once they're finished. Going along with that, no matter what ends up being in the KS, it sounds like the figures will still be released in waves so as not to overwhelm the factory or wallets.
It's also cool to know that these are already in the tooling process, so he's not relying on Kickstarter to even begin the physical work, which is nice, and should help speed up the process.
Very cool and level-headed approach overall, it seems. I also really dig the articulation shown on the Lemurian. I didn't see any posing of the not-Illithid, which still makes me side-eye that design and how functional it's going to be in terms of ROM. But I'm not super into that figure anyway, so that's fine. The .. rogue.. or whatever, is still an absolutely terrible design, in my opinion - never going to change my mind on that.
Looking forward to the KS and seeing what makes up each wave.

Kickstarter pre-launch page is up (not letting me insert link for some reason), lots of development details coming out on the facebook page, and they've revealed they have a license to produce figures based on Frazetta artwork - couldn't be more excited !

Kickstarter launches the 10th. Looks like they're going in hard on the Lizard race. I know color variants are big for them so hopefully there's a lot more available. The Lemurian Slate + character pack would price out at $40 for one figure, so around that Mythic Legions sweetspot.

I'd forgotten all about these and I'm looking forward to seeing some of the lizard dudes at the very least.

Nice to see they reigned in the asymmetry. I’ve bookmarked them for launch and just need to see how much I can afford to back.

Re: Savage Crucible: 6"-7" Fantasy Figures
If I understand it correctly, this Kickstarter will have 3 waves up for order all at once. Wave 1 will release in about a year, wave 2 around five months later, and wave 3 around five months after that.
Wave 1 is lizard people. Wave 2 is barbarian like humans I think, and wave 3 is fish people.
Wave 4 is supposed to be Dwarves, but that is not included in this kickstarter.
Wave 3 will be available later, and elsewhere for a little higher price. So if you have to go light on a wave, that might be the one.

I'd say the prototypes hold up well alongside established brands
The fish guy looks amazing

Very excited to see the KS go live. The painted stuff they've shown off lately looks pretty incredible. Hopefully they can keep that level of detail and (apparent) quality across the production cycle.

Fish creature looks awesome. Not too big on the color scheme on that lizard, but there's supposed to be variants.

The lizard head designs are a definite no for me. They look like the Spiderman movie Lizard.

Savage Crucible: 6"-7" Fantasy Figures
Liking the lizard and fish guy. Lizard men action figures (and fish men too) are so appealing to me. Having had too many action figures over the years either except for a few named characters.
Looking forward to seeing what this line has to offer. Do we know much about the creator? Experience in the industry?

Yup it's great to see an original line not based on anything else, and types of figures we've not really seen before. The fish wave looks great from what they've shown.

Re: Savage Crucible: 6"-7" Fantasy Figures
From the samples they've shown, it seems like they're already pretty far in development with these. I'm feeling fairly confident with this one.
Though I'm trying to ween away from 7" scale figures, these are looking incredible to me. I might go for this one depending on cost.
