I really don't want or need another OT X-Wing, but I hate to pay as much as the whole set at retail for just the figure.
And all this because I got his damn astromech..... I'm hopeless lol

Got Axe Woves yday and I can't fathom how they could do this guy so well and fumble so badly on the DW Mando's legs.

Axe Woves shares the same legs as the "Mandalorian" DW Mando, the "Clone Wars" DW Airborne Mando has different legs.

Re: Star Wars The Vintage Collection
Right, I get it now. I’d also prefer the Axe Woves knee orientation on the other Clone Wars mandos, but I still really like that Airborne one, there’s gotta be a Jango coming soon in that mould.sepster wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 8:42 pmBenedict wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 8:24 pmThey’re the same legs though.AdrienVeidt wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 2:44 pmGot Axe Woves yday and I can't fathom how they could do this guy so well and fumble so badly on the DW Mando's legs.

Re: Star Wars The Vintage Collection
(L to R): VC219 Mandalorian DW (the Mandalorian), VC228 Axe Woves (the Mandalorian), VC166 the Mandalorian (the Mandalorian), VC246 Mandalorian Super Commando Captain (CW), VC243 Mandalorian Super Commando (CW), VC247 Mandalorian DW Airborne Trooper (CW)

So, VC219 and VC228 use VC166's thighs. That's why the sculpt on their right thigh looks a little weird because it's sculpted to allow for the higher right boot on VC166. Thankfully, Hasbro updated VC219 and VC228 to T-Hips and rocker-ankles.

VC246, VC243, and VC247 all use the same hips, thighs, lower legs and feet with T-Hips, thigh cuts, ball/hinge knees, and rocker ankles.

I know some don't like the ball/hinge knees sculpted below the knee pad.

It changes the motion of the joint and the positions you can move the lower leg into, but aesthetically I think it looks fine and the difference in functionality it doesn't particularly bother me.

Re: Star Wars The Vintage Collection
The above-knee kneepads are stupid because it gets you a thigh swivel joint you're already getting, and wholly fails to protect the kneecap/tibia foramen *and* is non-canon:

It's an utter and complete failure of competence at the sculptor's job, imho. Same goes for putting elbow pads at the rear bottom of the hindarm. Putting armor where it simply doesn't *work* its job is as dumb as sculpting a pistol that points back at the shooter to me. It's just lazy work due to not paying any attention. Gracias for the pics, mate.

Just got my Rescue Set from Pulse. Looks pretty good.
No Vintage Collection logo on the box. One corner has some crush, but it looks like that happened on the pallet, not in shipping.

I feel the same way. Whoever decided putting the knee pads above the knee on these and the black series figures should be shot. Luckily on the black series, most of those I can move and mod myself. But these small ones have them sculpted on. I've skipped a few figures because of it already.AdrienVeidt wrote:The above-knee kneepads are stupid because it gets you a thigh swivel joint you're already getting, and wholly fails to protect the kneecap/tibia foramen *and* is non-canon:

New reveals of an AT-ST with Chewbacca and the Endor Bunker with the disguised Rebel Trooper in the Speeder Bike outfit. I have most of the above already, but I wouldn't mind updating my PotF2 bunker with the new one, which has a lot of weathering and moss growth.

Why is Chewbacca being packaged with the AT-ST instead of a AT-ST driver?!??

Re: Star Wars The Vintage Collection
Ha! I was randomly watching RoJ on Sunday. For the first time in my life I randomly noticed the disguised rebel and had to ask my family about him.

My son says it's Rex, but I think I'm going to call him Baader-Meinhof.

I'm guessing because Hasbro isn't planning to reissue a carded ROTJ Chewie in a figure assortment. And they might be offering a troop-builder set that includes AT-ST drivers.Darth_Drakonis wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 8:58 pmWhy is Chewbacca being packaged with the AT-ST instead of a AT-ST driver?!??
