While it's interesting that they'd go this far to rectify something (What a shock, voting with your wallet actually gets companies doing unliked stuff to reconsider, I wish that also worked with S7's plastic qualities and articulation limitations) and I'm ultimately glad fans are getting what they're wanting...at the same time it's at the cost of a pretty nice-looking rendition of Rat King. Majority, minority or otherwise it definitely shows how much of a vice grip nostalgia has on certain lines. Deviate or reinvent a bit too far and people will start pushing back hard. It's sad.

Hope they consider an alternate head in their original design's style to at least please both parties. Vintage purists don't have to use it, those who liked the design still get a chance at it.

The plastic quality varies a lot between releases because they use whatever freelance factory they can get after discovering that Mattel's factory would bump them for Jurassic World preorders.

Some good, some less good. Some do face printing, some do hand painted assembly lines. I imagine they do drop a factory when it causes enough backlash.

I'd be very interested in someone asking Flynn how many factories they've used as a ballpark and if they've ever dropped any.

Well we know they have at least one in China and have used one in Vietnam somewhat recently. A lot of smaller shops had to shop around as factories were routinely shut down for COVID. If it helped them get into a better one then at least some good came out of it. I would imagine they’d like to stick with the same ones as much as possible to establish a good, working, relationship.

You are very late. We discussed her, and pictures were posted on March 10th. I had to go back 14 pages to find it.

Super7 is trying to get away from 5 figures waves, so she was initially cut. Apparently SUPER7 is redoing wave 10, Rat King is out (to be redone and included in wave 11) and she is replacing him in wave 10. This was all told to The Fwoosh in an interview. An official announcement is coming soon.

There was a 5th figure planned at some point - probably Karai. They posted this and then deleted it.

A brief discussion followed. You must have just barely missed it, because you have a post less than 2 hours earlier. But you are correct, Rat King and the change in direction for the line was the focus for most. It dwarfed this accidental reveal.

That was their way to get out the 4 turtles again with a slight color variant for the sprus because apparently it would tick off certain people if they were identical to the first release or something.

Wow and i thought the Vintage look Casey jones was the best casey figure. here comes this Mirage/red shirt version, way better. that i have to buy!......Ive been dragging my feet with which casey figure to buy for years and this is it.

Are they really just letting people make more and more Rat King pre orders, just so they can cancel them and put Karai up at a later date?

From the interview with Brian it sounded like there was a lot of legal mumbo jumbo they have to do to be able to do anything with the TMNT brand. So while the intent may be to pull it down, they may not legally be allowed to until it's approved.
