Off the top of my head, I don’t see the difference between the two versions of Shao Khan. Except the energy spear is new. Are there a lot of other differences?

You mean the old and new? Because those are two completely different figures. Or between the two new releases? In that case, like I've listed before, 1 more head, energy spear and throne with the more expensive one.

I feel like mortal kombat is storms weakest franchise.

How so, given all of the fantastic figures they’ve produced?

Goro, Motaro, Kintaro, Shao Khan, Kung Lao, Raiden, Baraka, Liu Kang, a billion ninjas…. And others. They just need to make some of the females to balance all of those out. No excuse for not getting out Mileena\Kitana\Jade especially when they are essentially color swaps.

I have no interest in stuff beyond MK3. I still enjoy fooling around with the newer games, but those classic aesthetics are forever etched into my brain.

I wish I had gotten more of the MK2 figures when they were available and really don’t understand Storms unwillingness to reissue this stuff. Surely, some people (myself included) are holding out on diving into the line because essential characters like the original design Ninjas, Goro, MK2 Raiden, etc are now completely unaffordable.

Speaking of unaffordable, I definitely intend to invest in Liu Kang because he’s my favorite character. I keep meaning to preorder him, but hate having that money tied up for something that may not be released for a long time. Anyone have a read on how available these are likely to be at the time of release?

I personally hope we get figures from MK Mythologies or MK4/Gold because I would love that really classic Sun-Zero but without the quilted tunic as well as a Quan Chi, Shinnok, Reptile, Tanya and Fujin
