So, Gold Label. What are your thoughts?

Sux. Target handles it perfectly well. Walmart is awful. Not that I should be expecting much from either but it an expensive nightmare trying to get the recent batches of gold labels.

The only Walmart Gold Label figures I have ever seen at retail were the unmasked Bloodsport and the alternate colored Unchained Superman. Target's much better, but there are even a few of those I never found either (particularly the Batman Beyond figures).

It's just become too much for me personally. I've basically thrown in the towel on the line at this point.

They're great figures, I admire what Todd has done with this line and glad so many people are enjoying these. I hope it goes on for very long time. But for me, collecting this line began to feel like a chore (just like Legends eventually became), and I'm just going to admire them from the sidelines going forward.

Just got my Gold Label Kid Flash from the McF Store sale, and he may be my favorite figure from the line. His sculpt is so nice, so dry and clean, and the Speed Force effects are especially classy. I absolutely love it, even with the slight side-eye.

I think it's real weird that the Amazon Tim Drake Gold Label figure has just up and disappeared off the site. No 3rd party, no used listings ... the page just doesn't exist anymore.

My thoughts:
"Gold Label" should really live up to the name by being the "gold standard" of that particular figure.
Better paint, additional accessories and or unique parts that make it stand out.

I have been able to acquire quite a few pleasing purchases of late including the NECA SOTO Turtles from Walmart*.
